Only Passion - (din djarin x sith! f! reader)
A/N: I am back in my star wars era team!! I miss Din and I was curious to see how he would behave if he had to be the soft one for someone else. I plan to add more parts to this and do an enemies to lovers type thing, but for now this is just an intro :)
Warnings: canon typical violence
You never intended to join the Sith. You never even thought of yourself as a bad person.
Honestly, you still don't think of yourself as 'evil' more like...passionate.
It had been two hours. Your knees were screaming from staying still for so long. You sighed and rubbed your aching eyes.
The target, a high level crime lord named Nattas, had been holed up in the inner walls of the caves of Utapau.
While scanning for Nattas, you also searched the surrounding wall and cave structures for signs of Embo or his annoba, Marrok.
Other bounty hunters usually weren't brave or stupid enough to go this out of their way to capture a target, and then there were some, like Embo, and like you, who did it for the thrill.
Years ago, after faking your death to leave the Sith order, you kept your sabers and now, you use them to hunt down people who were actually evil. Not like you. At least, that what you tell yourself.
From behind, a ship flew over and then down into the cave, landing on the pad next to the entrance where Nattas was last seen.
You cursed softly and tucked your scope back onto your belt. You stood and watched as Nattas walked out of the cave towards the ship. Jumping quickly, you flipped down and onto the side of the Utapau cave wall, side stretching and reaching to get closer to the landing pad. Pushing off the cave wall and flipping, you landed on the landing pad right in front of Nattas.
Using the Force to summon your two red sabers, you ignited them.
"Going somewhere, sleemo?" You taunted the dark haired man.
A disturbance in the Force cautioned you to turn your head behind you, catching sight of an armored Mandalorian before the butt of a gun hit you in between the eyes and black consumed your vision.
When you woke, you could sense that your sabers were not on your belt. You grumbled softly and huffed. Your body shook with each shift of the ship and you fought to keep from rolling from one side of the ship to the other.
Your vision was blurry, distorted, and a sense of nausea pooled in the back of your throat. You tried to reach up and rub your eyes, only to find that your body was restrained by thick wired cables. Nattas was sealed in Carbonite, hanging up on the other side of the hull.
"You gotta be kidding me." You sighed.
"Be-bleh?" A little voice cooed from behind you.
You craned your neck to look. A tiny green alien with big ears and big black eyes stood there, holding a neon blue cookie.
"Be-bleh?" The alien asked again.
You weren't familiar with the species or his language, but he was very cute.
"Hi buddy..." You said in a soothing tone. "Can you get me out of these?"
The little green alien munched it's cookie and looked up at you in curiosity.
"Grogu? Don't give the bounty cookies." A modulated voice carried down from the ship above. Boots clanged on the ladder and the armored Mandalorian from Utapau appeared in the hull next to you.
All you could really see of the man was his boots and thighs from where you lay on the floor, but it was enough to make your blood boil.
"You stole my bounty!"
"I am a better bounty hunter." The Mandalorian said and reached down, gripping you by the tied cables to haul you up.
You met the 'T' of his visor with your eyes and tried to search it for any kind of emotional connection, but you found none.
Fine.
You tried to wave your hand from where it was tied behind your back.
"You will give me Nattas and leave us at the next inhabited planet."
The Mandalorian chuckled. "Save it for someone else."
He carried you to a seat across the hull and sat you down unceremoniously. Pointing a gloved hand at you, he said,
"Here is what's going to happen. You will get your sabers back when I dump you at the next planet. You will-
"Ba-ba-ba?" The green alien called Grogu asked as he toddled over to the Mandalorian.
"Does your helmet make you immune to Force suggestion?" You interrupted.
The Mandalorian paused. "...It's Beskar."
"So...what does that mean?"
"It's from my home world."
You chuckled. "Uh-huh. That's...great."
The Mandalorian cleared his throat. "I don't want to know your name, I don't want to know about you, you sit here and shut up-"
"That's rude."
You could almost sense him narrowing his eyes. "I'm not done."
"Is this your villain monologue? I had training in those once."
The Mandalorian huffed loudly. "I'll put you in Carbonite if you don't shut up and listen."
"Fine."
The man in the metal helmet bent down to be eye level with you. If he had been without the helmet, you would have been able to see his eyes, all the shades and hues that allow him to understand the galaxy. You could have studied the plush of his lips and watched how they moved to form the words he was saying.
"If there's a bounty on you, I'm taking you in, Jedi or not-"
"I'm not a Jedi."
"You have lightsabers..."
"I'm not!" You shouted, emotion bursting out of your throat and filling the cabin before you could stop yourself.
Grogu crawled up and over the Mandalorian's body to rest on his shoulder. He cowered slightly behind the metal helmet.
"...Sith." The modulated voice crackled. The Mandalorian stood, rising to his full height. "Fine. Whatever you are, I'm taking you in, mouth."
You sneered at him as the Mandalorian and Grogu walked back to the ladder and climbed up and out of the cargo hull.
"You still stole my bounty! You'll still pay for that!"
Once they left, you relaxed into the chair, the restraints pulling uncomfortably at your skin.
Your mind began to travel back through your past quickly, like a flip book. Training with Darth Voris. Reciting the Sith code, again and again while practicing with your sabers.
'Peace is a lie. There is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength.'
Darth Voris's voice, crackled and whining through her helmet sounded, "Faster!" 'Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory!'
Her voice again, "Harder! Kill them!"
'Through Victory my chains are Broken. The Force shall free me!'
The face of your very first victim. The anguish in the man's face and the pride in your Master's.
You swallowed tightly and closed your eyes. "Only passion, only strength." You let out a deep breath and tried to release the visions racing through your mind as the ship jumped into hyperspace.
