Ivys Userbox Tutorial!!! Yay!!!
first off, there are lots of different sizings for userboxes. I personally use one that is 640 x 172 pixels, but I’d say the most common ones are 827 x 168
the blue ones is 872 x 168, and the red one is 640 x 172. I’ll be using the red one for this tutorial.
I will be using Procreate for this tutorial, which is NOT a free app, but this tutorial should work with most drawing softwares, and I’d say Ibis Paint X is the closest to Procreate.
first, make your canvas and create a new layer and fill the entire canvas.
then, resize the layer to your liking.
erase a line a bit less than 1/3 of the rectangle. The box on the left is where your picture will go.
for the sake of simplicity, the photo box will be box A and the text box will be box B
Select box A and copy it so it has its own layer
look at the layer tab on the right of this photo, that’s what I mean.
now, you can create clipping masks for both layers.
Add whatever photos or colouring youd like!!
Smack some text on and BOOM!!! Userbox!!
yep that’s it. This tutorial is very fluid so I suggest you mess around and find a style you like. There’s no right or wrong, this was just a simple explanation.
if you need any help hit me up and I’ll try my best :D
