3. What were your top five books of the year?
this is SO TOUGH i literally gave 18 books a 5 star rating this year lol but five that i really loved and also couldn't stop thinking about since (in no particular order) are:
the nickel boys by colson whitehead
beach read by emily henry
book lovers by emily henry
one true loves by taylor jenkins reid
the rural diaries by hilarie burton morgan
12. Any books that disappointed you?
run rose run by dolly parton and james patterson (wholly blaming this on patterson, the mystery/thriller side of it and the plot and pacing etc which i assume was his responsibility was a mess lol), the unhoneymooners by christina lauren, little weirds by jenny slate :/
16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?
just answered this, but another is where the crawdads sing by delia owen. i rated it 3.5 stars because i found it picked up a lot towards the end but for a long time i was wondering if i'd even get through it

12. any books that disappointed you?
I don’t know how disappointed I was because I wasn’t that invested but a portrait of the artist as a young man was supposed to be incredible and innovative and instead it made me want to die
16. what is the most over-hyped book you read this year?
I don’t know if I read anything that was super mainstream that I didn’t like tbh? maybe evelyn hugo but I still loved it, it just wasn’t the greatest book ever (daisy jones remains superior)
24. did you DNF anything? why?
there were a couple books I started for class that I didn’t finish, like phoebe junior and afterparties just because I wasn’t hooked and I am able to bullshit my way through it if need be

Hi there,
I really love this set that you made here https://at.tumblr.com/sheisraging/dont-ask-me-what-you-know-is-true-interview/dp4vpab0lig6 if you are willing, could you make a tutorial on how you did the black and white to color effect??
Hope you have a great day!! ☺️☺️
Hi anon! Thank you so much <3
I haven't done a gif tutorial before, so bear with me.
This tutorial assumes you already have a basic understanding of gif making and are using Photoshop. I should also probably note that I gif directly from video as opposed to importing to frames.
There are probably other ways to do this, but this is how I do it:
Step 1:
Import your video and set your start and end point markers to the sections you want to gif.
Step 2:
Make whatever initial adjustments you want to make to coloring/brightness/sharpness, etc.
I do this with adjustment layers, so they sit within the video group. After making an initial adjustments, add a Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer.
Step 3:
In your Layers panel, drag the Hue/Saturation layer out of the Video Group so it sits on top of everything else.
After doing this, you should see the Hue/Saturation move to a separate layer in your Timeline panel.
Step 4:
Click on the Hue/Saturation layer in your Layers panel and open Properties (if not open already). Move the Saturation slider to -100.
This should change your video entirely to black and white.
Step 5:
In your Timeline panel, open the Hue/Saturation layer dropdown and look for Opacity. Move your marker to the start of your work area and insert a keyframe by clicking the stopwatch immediately to the left of "Opacity".
In your Layers panel, make sure the Opacity of your Hue/Saturation layer is set to 100% when your marker is sitting over this keyframe.
Move your marker to the end of your work area and insert another keyframe. In your Layers panel, lower the Opacity of the Hue/Saturation layer to 0% when your marker is over your second keyframe.
If you drag your marker between your two keyframes, you should now see the video fade from black and white to color.
From here, you just adjust as needed or export.
I think that's pretty much it, but let me know if you have any questions!
