Questions to Spark a Great Father's Day

Today is Father’s Day! As a family we are going to my parents in law’s house to celebrate with a nice BBQ dinner. Recently as I did dozens of user interviews, I was inspired to create a fun session to engage the family conversation. I tried this with my dad online since my parents are in China, and it really made my dad very happy and touched. This will be more appreciated expecially when you dad’s love language is “words of affirmation”. 

Here are the questions I came up with to share at the dinner table. I would be the facilitator, and my husband & sister in law would participate in answering these questions. As a result, I hope I can record the answers and make a little video for my father in law to remember in the future.

Project: Tracking books to schools - Malawi

Description: The first step was to better understand how books were being delivered in Malawi. We gathered various stakeholders typically involved in the distribution process, and visited communities in remote villages: Donor groups, Ministry of Education officials, warehouse staff, couriers, delivery drivers, field experts, teachers, and parents were interviewed.

Excited to be at the #Ölzbündt housing development by Architekten #HermannKaufmann. The project was built in 1997, and Kaufmann simplified the prefabricated timber construction developed for this project to make it accessible to any construction company. The simplified system was used on several subsequent housing projects. Ölzbündt is lookin real nice after 20 years--they're having a party to celebrate the anniversary later in the month. I was lucky to speak with a couple of neighbors on site who told me their thoughts on the project, and offered to send around my building survey.
