meet Necahual, my Perseverance Soul OC! they're a smart kid, mainly scribbling in their notebook to observe anything and everything of interest!
they're a real bookworm and also quite studious, aspiring to move out and get a job in the city to not need to worry over their father's medical expenses. he's down with a bit of an illness, but Necahual works hard to make sure things go as planned for his sake. besides that, they have a soft spot for fairytales and short stories, especially this one of a human and monster falling in love.... ah, but that sounds sappy, so forget it.
they've got a silver tongue that can be just as sharp, and despite their young age, they don't hold back on anyone! they can be a bit extreme, especially in working towards their goals, but they mean well at heart (even if they don't show it).
Necahual went down Mt. Ebott willingly, intending on studying what laid inside and seeing if the rumours of Monsterkind really were true. on their way down, though, the rope they were using to ensure they could return back up came loose, and it fell down with them.... it's alright though, because they've gotten themself out of everything, so this can't possibly be different! ...right?
i partially based their backstory and personality off of Belle from the Beauty and the Beast, which is why i mention it in the first paragraph hehe ^^ no romance here though! they're thirteen. so it focuses on all the other themes that the story had instead. enjoy this short drabble!
