This cute little guy is a golden mantled ground squirrel is known as a Callospermophilus Lateralis and is found In North America. I spotted him at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. It has a black-bordered white stripe down each side of the back. It is an omnivore and feeds on pine nuts, acorns, herbs and shrubs, fungi, insects, eggs, young birds, lizards and human food.
