Meet the tiger salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum). The tiger salamander can reach lengths up to 12 inches, making this species the largest land dwelling salamander. This species of salamander is also the only species found in the state of Utah. Anaxyrus woodhousii, The Woodhouse’s Toad, named after Samuel Washington Woodhouse (June 27, 1821 – October 23, 1904). This is a nocturnal species found in North America, which can reach lengths up to 5 inches. Females can lay up to 25,000 eggs in one clutch.
