Nightmare would be the kind of guy that never shuts up about his spouse, he's ALWAYS bragging about how great they are

Hed refer to them as "his darling spouse" or "dearest" or "love", he's a romantic at heart even if he's too emotionally constipated to tell anyone he loves them

I can imagine him being big on gift giving too, he's always bringing them jewelry and fine clothes and blankets and pillows and just about anything that he thinks is as beautiful and elegant as his lover

He might be busy all the time but just having them stay in his study with him, being in his presence, is enough for him sometimes

And he might be centuries old but he never forgets a date or anniversary and takes those things very seriously. He remembers when they first met and exactly how it happened, he remembers their first date, first time they held hands, first kiss and he remembers their wedding anniversary (he goes all out no matter how long they've been together)

He might look like a grouch but he loves with his whole being (post-corruption anyway)

Genuinely think that the worst thing canon dreamtale has done to passive Nightmare (besides killing him off and replacing him with an "evil spirit") was making him... passive

And by that I mean: only depicting him as a sad boy. Genuinely that is a problem of the narrative idea. Nightmare is a guardian of "negative" feelings. One would think that those would include anger or hate but noooo only the "evil" villagers were angry and hateful because feeling/acting out on anger and hate is bad and our baby is not like that he's good and pure and so he's always only sad

Even if that was not the intended message, it was the one that was delivered. If this line of thinking was introduced as Nightmare's character flaw then if would be awesome, but as a narrative message? Horrible. Insane. Where's the nuance? Deeper ideas other than "ouh wouh hate is bad"? Show me "passive" Nightmare being angry. Show him going apeshit. Lashing out against the unjust treatment and hurting himself and his brother in the process.. that's the soup I'm looking for

Lust , and honestly just underlust monsters in general, actually having a lot of magic bcuz of the whole lust trait injection thing but it also fcking up the ways they can use magic, they can’t do anything really precise with it but they also just can’t not not use bcuz that goes from uncomfortable to painful really fast, it’s like chronic pain, they can relieve it a bit with help of other activities but it never truly goes away

Any time I see any content of any of the Bad Sanses driving, it is incredibly funny to me, because you cannot convince me any of those mfs can drive

Killer, quite frankly, would probably crash the thing on purpose because he thought it might be fun. Even if he knew how to drive, he should absolutely not be behind the wheel EVER. He would cause accidents on purpose. He probably shouldn't even be in a car while it is on the road.

Murder & Horror are both from timelines where they never reached the surface, so they definitely didn't learn to drive there. And I just cannot see them ever bothering to learn after leaving their AU either.

Nightmare is fucking 500 years old. You can't convince me he would even willingly step foot inside a vehicle, let alone learn to drive one. He would probably call them 'death machines' or something.

Cross is the only one I can maybe see learning how to drive. But even on the small chance he did know how to drive, I can absolutely see him crashing it if literally anyone else was in the car with him, for one reason or another.

And Error? Absolutely not. Even if he did know how to drive (which I cannot see him knowing how to do, the guy spends 90% of his time either watching Undernovela, knitting, eating chocolate, destroying shit, or combinations of the four), his road rage would be horrifically bad. He would end up in a 10 car pile up because 1 guy pissed him off. He would be an absolute hazard on the road.

You prob made this headcanon yourself but.

UL monsters always feeling like overheating because they're on the edge of melting and becoming amalgamates.

One wrong layer and its over for them

The overheating part would make sense, their bodies are creating too much LUST and making their body feel warmer and warmer, only way to make it be at least a bit tolerable is if they make their body temp go down.

So it would explain your headcanon abt the monsters abandoning Hotland, bcs staying there is basically suicide. And would make sense for Snowdin to be PACKED with monsters, Waterfall too, maybe, but mostly Snowdin bcs it's really cold, so rheie body tempo would be lower.

And maybe if your body temp is lower, the more lucid you get? Since when you're overheating (at least in my case, dont quote me on that) you get really dizzy and your mind gets a a bit foggy, so imagine feeling that + Horny™ all the time?
