Under The Peepal Tree

One may wonder why Under the Peepal Tree? Maybe after reading this, you'll understand why. UTPT was born in the year 1998 as the brainchild of Avinash Mudaliar and Gopal Srinivasan, two of the first few members of RV Quizcorp, RVCE's quiz club. Though it started off with humble beginnings, UTPT is now Asia's largest exclusive quiz fest. This is legit information, mind you. UTPT'13 had 500 teams in just a single quiz. UTPT offers a quiz for you, wherever your interests may lie. Literature, Entertainment, Sport, Desi, you name it. And what is truly commendable is the sheer high standard of what each round of each quiz brings forward to the quizzing circuit. The biggest deal of UTPT, quite literally, is Magnum Open, the only quiz open to all demographics, including corporates. Having the highest prize money, three generations of your family could attend this quiz happily.   Specific to 2014, UTPT presents seven quizzes and lots more Informals. The quizzes are The Major Quiz, the general quiz Lieut-en-Ent, the literature and entertainment quiz SciTech, which combines Science, Business and Technology Game Theory, for the sports fans Indi-genius, for our Incredible India Magnum Open (Open Quiz) and, our newest addition, Sakkath Sawaal, the quiz on Namma Karnataka. UTPT 2014, the 16th edition, will be held over a course of four days. Four days, where everyone involved, right from the organizers to the participants have insane amount of fun, come across brilliant funda, but foremost learn a great deal which sets them on the path to attaining nirvana (somewhat). This should answer the question, why 'Under the Peepal Tree'. So, this UTPT, Quizcorp invites you all. We don't ask for much, just come as you are.

Underneath the Poet Tree || Vanessa & Maya

Maya: grabbing her guitar and notebook she eagerly made her way towards the oh-so-familiar music room. Needless to say the room itself was her favorite spot in the entire house, though now that more and more people were arriving it became increasingly more popular she frequented it less. Luckily for her no one was there when she arrived so she sprawled out on one of the couches, opening her notebook to the piece she'd been attempting to write. Her old band mates used to call her a Taylor Swift wannabe, which undoubtedly made her cringe, even if it was sort of a complement. In that moment she had a million thoughts popping in and out of her mind, making it almost impossible to focus and pick one to write about. Strumming a couple of chords on her guitar she set it down with a sigh, looking up at the door in anticipation of her friend.
