Here’s a UV layout from a wood doll I designed and textured! Expect some more 3D models soon 🙂
Headus Unwrapping Gif.
This is a video of what unwrapping the Uvs of an object can look like. This is a common process performed just before texturing a 3D object. I’ve made art from the process of making art.
# 2 . UV 맵 플래트닝
- 헤더스가 킹왕짱. 단축키는 C, W, D, Shift+D, Space, F, Shift+F 정도만 알면 뒤집어 쓰고 남는다.
- 헤더스로 편 UV를 obj로 저장한 후 마야에서 불러와 맵 자동정렬을 한번 해주면 맵이 아주 아름답게 배치된다.
- UV가 깨지거나 이후 수정해야 될 상황이 생기면 마야에서 Move and Sew 기능을 적절히 사용하면 된다. 마우스우클릭 → UV → 유브이콤포턴트 선택 → Select to Shell 의 흐름을 따르면 유브이 패치별 선택도 아주 쉽게 된다.
- 헤더스의 Load 기능은 New 와 Edit 의 두가지 토글링이 가능한데, 한번 펴둔 유브이 obj라면 Edit로 불러와서 작업을 이어하거나 수정 할 수 있다.
Cutting UVs
As much distaste as I have for cutting UVs, at least it makes me feel productive.
My husband taught me something to help me organize my UV's and I thought it would be great to share with everyone else.
What my husband helped me set up was shelf buttons that would move a set of UV's over, either left or right one UV unit. Now in my picture above I have grouped similar objects together. Metals, wood, plants, etc all together and shifted each group over.
The mel script to do this is as follows.
To the Right: polyEditUV -u 1.0 -v 0 ;
To the Left: polyEditUV -u -1.0 -v 0 ;
Up: polyEditUV -u -0 -v 1 ;
Down : polyEditUV -u -0 -v -1 ;
To save the script on your shelf just highlight the script in your script editor and drag and drop it onto your shelf.
To rename the new buttons you can go to the little arrow to the left of your shelf and select shelf editor. The second image shows you what I'm talking about.
