it was getting to that time of the month. the time of the month where the temperature drops and nature withers away—temporarily at least. the time of the month where flakes of snow fall onto the withering green of the earth, coating it with its snowy soft texture. the time of the month where agriculture halted production as farmers prepared their crops to withstand the winter for future warmer months.
during the time of this cold month, the inside of your home dropped its usual temperature. it had a warm interior, comfy soft couches with warm bed sheets, and hot beverages and edible foods every day. however, it is the cold season, meaning that your house became colder and colder as the days passed by. you counted the days that he left—for a mission that is.
you knew that his rank as a hashira was very important to the world he lives in and himself. he serves this rank with pride and holds his head up high, even when faced with difficult challenges such as battling against an upper rank demon. even though he has only did it once—and thankfully survived—there might be a time he has to repeat the same order and this time not come home.
as you sit there in silence, with your clasped hands together, you pray that your husband returns safe to you. you prayed that he wouldn’t succumb to any fatal wounds that might result in his final breath being taken. as you released your hands from each other, you looked at the door and sighed. “might as well go fix a hot meal.” you said to yourself.
as you got up from your previous position, the front door creaked open. an awful aroma started to seep itself into the clean home. the aroma was strong, enough to make your lungs, as well as your throat, experience a burning sensation. you sank to your knees as you peered at the door. despite never seeing that figure before, you heard about it. it was a demon. a horrible one at least. not just because of its aroma, but of its appearance. it had three horns decorating its scalp and a tongue that extends from the base of its tongue to your wooden floor. drool started to escape from its mouth as you tried to be as quiet as possible. you learned from your husband, tengen, that as long as you stay quiet, the demon(s) would have trouble spotting your location.
so there you were, quietly sitting on the floor of your bedroom with your hands covering your mouth. you tried to restrict your breathing as much as possible, only letting out a few puffs of air before holding it again. the demon slowly scouted your house, looking for anything living to devour, or at least ease its feasting period. you prayed that he wouldn’t find you, even though it was scouting the whole house, it was a high probability that it would come in the bedroom that you were hiding in.
soft footsteps and the sound of slime started to become more audible. even though you already knew where the demon was, you could hear it getting closer and closer into the bedroom. you started to shiver in fear—plus the temperature of the house was giving you goosebumps. you braced yourself for the opening of the sliding door that kept you in the bedroom. apparently, that never came, for you heard another pair of footsteps enter your home.
you knew it either had to be the demon’s partner or a nearby slayer coming by to help. it was a 50/50 chance, but you were oblivious to the answer. you continued to stay as quiet as possible, with your back against the wall, still praying to the almighty for protection.
suddenly, the sliming noise came to a halt. a permanent halt. a halt that never started up again. what did start was the slinging of chains and the sound of a head falling to the floor. supposedly it was a nearby slayer, who would wander around the area in this cold temperature? “hon?” you heard a voice echo from the hallway. it was booming, yet held a concerning tone. you slid the door open as you peered out of it. you met eyes with a white haired man, standing as tall as the roof holding two, large identical swords.
tears started to form in your eyes as you quickly rushed to the tall man. “hey, hey, hey. you okay?” he asked, embracing your hug as he felt your tears stain his outfit. “i know, baby. i know . . . i’m here now . . .” tengen began to place kisses on your head in a comforting way, letting you know that he’s here for as long as you need him to be. you suddenly felt your eyes closing, embracing the warmth of tengen in this freezing temperature. tengen chuckled as he lifted you up, carrying you into the bedroom you hid in.
“my sleepy girl.” he said, softly putting you down on the mattress, covering your frame with all the big blankets he had in store for this kind of season. he placed one final kiss on your cheek before heading into the bathroom to wash up.
you felt your body heat up, another body laid beside you, adding to the heat you received. tengen’s head was nuzzled between the crook of your neck. soft breathing could be heard from the bedroom. soft breaths of exhaustion and hardwork, training himself everyday to protect the people of the world he lives in. soft breaths of love and hatred—for you and the demons he slays. soft breaths that keep him alive everyday.
all for the sake of coming home to you at the end of the day.
the words come out in a quiet grumble, your lips curled into a pout, and uzui thinks he’s inclined to do exactly the opposite of what you say if you say it like that.
“i’m not moving. i’m a shinobi, i can stay still,” he hums, and just to prove his point, he twitches his thigh—the one you’re sitting on—just enough to make you lean a bit too close, making you gasp and throw him a glare. “that was clearly you losing balance.”
“tengen! you messed it up, see?” you hold up his hand for him to inspect, and sure enough, he has messed it up. a fresh, wet streak of green polish paints across his skin, very much outside his nail bed to your dismay.
he lets out a quiet snicker, and you huff, pouty lips looking a bit more plump—and kissable—now that you’ve licked them. he leans in to press a soft peck, and you pull away before your lips can touch.
“c’mon, baby,” he grins, eyes laced with amusement, “don’t be like that. give me a kiss,” he insists.
“you ruined them,” you remind him, staring at the flawed nail in disappointment. “they were looking so pretty too.”
“they’re still pretty,” he murmurs, reaching his free hand to pinch your nose. you place the bottle of polish down, wrapping your arms around his neck as you sigh in defeat.
there’s no winning with uzui, he’s always a step ahead, and he always knows just what buttons to push.
“i told you we needed a table,” you mutter, refusing to meet his eyes—it’s a last resort, really. the last bit of defiance you can show just so he doesn’t get what he wants.
but you should know by now, uzui tengen always gets what he wants.
“i like it this way better,” he hums, arm wrapping around your waist and rubbing up and down your back slowly. “i get a better view. and, a chance to do this,” he adds the last bit as his hand trails down your back to find your ass, squeezing slightly.
you gasp, finally meeting his gaze. “tengen,” you scold, slapping his chest gently—and it’s pointless, he’s only that much more amused now. “next time you ask me to help you with your nails, i’m going to—”
“going to what? say no to me?” he snorts, pressing his forehead to yours, “you can’t say no to me, baby. you’d never.”
“i would,” you counter, turning your head away indignantly.
“you’d never say no to me,” he shrugs, and you have half a mind to climb off uzui’s lap and walk away, but he seems to be reading your mind. his arm pulls you flush against his chest, and your foreheads meet once more.
“i can and i will,” you say firmly.
“so, next time i ask something, you’ll deny me?” he challenges. and you shouldn’t entertain someone like him, uzui’s always got something up his sleeve—and it’s always you who ends up paying the price, but you can’t help it.
you nod, a determined look setting on your face. “yes, i will,” you say simply. uzui chuckles, blowing on his still drying nails casually as though your words are boring. it only makes you that much more determined.
“then you should marry me,” he murmurs, as though it’s the most normal statement—and he bites back a smirk when your breath hitches.
you try to pull away, but he only brings you closer. and truth be told, you want nothing more than to tie the knot, to wake up each morning and kiss him on the lips, to bump hips as you brush your teeth together, to fold laundry and knock down each other’s piles—to live in bliss, a life where you’re his and he’s yours and it’s for good.
but this isn’t serious, and uzui’s only pushing your buttons, so you clear your throat and look down.
“that’s not funny, tengen,” you mumble quietly.
“i’m not trying to be,” he says simply, fingers running over your bare skin as his hand sneaks under your shirt.
“but—”
“are you really gonna tell me no?” he breathes, nose brushing against yours, breath fanning across your lips. and even if you wanted, you couldn’t retract, so you lean just the tiniest bit closer. he smirks. “that wasn’t me, by the way,” he grins.
“i guess i just lost my balance,” you tease, rolling your eyes. your hands cup his cheeks, and he closes his eyes, leaning into your touch. “this isn’t a trick?”
“just what do you take me for?” he asks, and this time, there’s a slight pout to his own lips. you chuckle, and it’s the tiniest bit watery, and something in uzui’s heart clenches just a little. “don’t say no to me. you can’t,” he mumbles, opening his eyes to look into yours.
“you’re right,” you agree, hand clutching the material of his shirt tightly. “i can’t say no,” you breathe.
“so you’ll marry me?”
“i’ll marry you,” you nod furiously.
uzui’s eyes brighten, and when his lips brush against yours, pressing deep into your mouth and drinking in the air from your lungs, you can’t bring yourself to warn him about his wet nails as he wraps his arms around your waist. his lips are warm, soft and plush, molding against yours flawlessly.
you pull away first, but not before he plants a quick peck to your lips as you do.
“knew you could never tell me no,” he says cheekily, flashing you a smug grin, and you roll your eyes, brushing a loose strand of hair from his forehead. your thumb traces the lines of his features, and his rubs small hearts into your hipbone.
“i’m a bit shocked. that wasn’t the flashy proposal i was expecting from you,” you raise a brow.
this time, he chuckles a bit louder, leaning close and scattering pecks all over your face—and there’s a bit of giddiness in the way his lips sloppily kiss your skin, in the way he squeezes your figure tightly into his. it makes you let out a breathy giggle of your own.
“we’ll have the flashiest wedding,” he assures, and when your hands slide against each other, fingers entwined, you don’t care that his nails are smudged and ruined. you can only imagine how perfect a wedding ring would look on his finger. “this moment is just for us.”

YANDERE UZUI TENGEN x F. READER
Uzui, during the day, is walking around the city, showing off more and more… You know this man…He loves to spend his limitless treasure that comes from his sharp swords slicing onis.
And exchanging steps through between the stores at the center of the city, the decision is to buy jewelry to his handsome look.
He is already known in the establishment, the attendants melt to see him as always, and Uzui has a wide smile, he loves to show off, and he knows how handsome he looks, and gets all the attention that he wants.
You are the newest hire, not as a clerk, but as a jewelry designer, and you are sitting down to write one of your projects on paper.
Uzui doesn't realize that you're not part of the attendant team. Under the pillar's careful fuchsia gaze, your disinterest as opposed to the rest arouses an inconvenient feeling. Uzui has a talking mind... "- She acts like I'm invisible, she certainly doesn't know who I am."
... What do you mean, y/n... Didn't you notice the presence of the most extravagant man in the whole region? In addition, Uzui is the best customer that the archaic establishment has, he is pampered in every way whenever he goes to flaunt his fortune, as his figures add a lot to the monthly profit.
The jewels that are poured before him seem to have suddenly run out of luster or color... Why are they no longer in his focus? Between staring at inanimate objects and your hands and staring at your intently drawing on the paper in front of you, Uzui wants answers. Asking out loud. "- What is the lady over there doing?" Fingers full of gemstone chains are pointing at you, while sitting as if on an Uzui throne trying to get your attention.
He can't read minds... Fortunately... Or he'd be convinced to realize that you noticed him the moment he gave the air of his grace. His beautiful voice, the bearing, everything about him was like the most beautiful design you've ever seen. But... Realizing that he knew how "artistic" he was, you don't want to inflate this ego even more. Thus, you remains "focused" on your project.
But... That was until the special client that the girls talked about so much earlier, called you "lady"...
You look up at the one who aroused curiosity. In response he has a half smile that spills all the charm he possesses towards you. He was trying gently...
"- Ah, she's y/n-kun, it's our new designer." Explains one of the attendants to the sound pillar.
"- Y/n...Come here, Uzui-Kun wants to talk to you." One of them speaks full of jealousy.
You take your eyes off Uzui's beautiful gaze that makes you shiver for a moment, and turn to your real function, but anyway you need to answer the special cliente... "- I don't think I can help you Uzui-Kun. My job is to make jewelry, not sell it. So I don't have the talent to show you the stash, but I can see that you are well supported already." You say in a sarcastic tone, also with a half smile.
Needless to say, Uzui LOVED it.
For Uzui to win any heart even today, he just needed to show himself with few words, or just nothing... And whoever it is would be in his arms...But who do you "think" you are, to say NO, to Uzui Tengen?
... Ah y/n... If you wanted to avoid a confrontation, I don't think that's what you got sweetie...
Uzui gets to his feet. In silence he walks slowly with the dignity of a lion in an African savanna. As he approaches you.
With your peripheral vision you can see him put his head as if looking for your gaze, like a magnet…
This isn't something that could be lightly ignored, so, heeding Uzui's wordless command, you again let him look into your eyes. Uzui doesn't back down, the closer steps make you fear for something unknown.
Two palms are placed around your table and the lion bows before you. You're dilating his pupils as you stare back at him...
"-Y / n-Kun... Right?" A soft voice asks you for confirmation.
"- Yes, Uzui-Kun."
"- Do you mean that you are the one who make pieces as beautiful as these?"
He said pointing to some of the jewelry he had in his hands, moving them in a hypnotic dance before your eyes.
"- That's what I'm trying to do." You answer awkwardly, thinking how strange this situation is.
Noticing your discomfort, Uzui changes his strategy, he is as fast as the sound. The chair is dragged so that you are at the same height now, for a "fair" dialogue...
"- Y/n-Kun, let me know it, is it possible for me to order something specific that is designed just for me? "
"- Ahmm, yes, it's possible."
"- Ahh perfect, how generous of you. Thank you for your time madam, we'll talk soon."
Uzui this time doesn't even take a piece in the store. And with that, you were called to the attention of your new boss. Who explained that Uzui has a differentiated service, that even he helps you from time to time, so you can't afford to do it differently. Because your scolding was after work, you're irritated, wasting time listening to a sermon because of a "Mr." who loves to have attention.
It's night time, now In your home you are getting ready to bathe, wrapped in a towel while you grab some items for the bath. As walking towards your hallway, your mind just blows…you come across a grunt, claws. A gray-skinned creature is in front of you and it's a second away from attacking you, you don't even have time to scream.
Closing your eyes tight, for no one wants to behold their own end...
"- I'm still alive?"... You ask to yourself...
"- You can open your eyes y/n-kun."
All you see is a head and a body turning to ash, through it crossing strong arms in triumph with two beautiful swords… And the one who has saved you is the special client, Uzui.
Your breath is erratic. The shock of having seen something horrendous and now realizing that the world is no longer what you thought makes you run away from everything. You run out of the house with a scream at the top of your lungs.
But you are stopped by the impact on the chest of the warrior.
Uzui hold you. "- Y/n, calm down, it's okay, I'm here." Warm arms are wrapped around you. Uzui's arms are like a refuge.
"- What was that?" You might ask as soon as you came to your senses.
Taking you as you walk towards your home, Uzui tells you who he is and who are the "monsters" that are chasing you.
You are discrediting even though your own eyes have seen it. "- This is a target place from now on y/n. I'm sorry to tell you. Well, I need to go, but I believe that you'll be fine." Uzui turns around and in all your panic, his name comes out of your mouth.
"-UZUI."
He has his back turned and smiles without your eyes being able to contemplate him, and "innocently", he replies. "-What do you want y/n, can I help you with something else?"
Your startled gasps and your glazed eyes are enough.
"- Oh okay, let's do it like this, I'll do the surveillance around your house today. And make sure no oni show up."
You breathe finally letting the air into your lungs. "- Thank you, Uzui, I can't thank you."
Gently as you approach, he brings you by the chin. "- Go bathe in peace. I'll be around if any hungry oni appear."
You bathe and are thinking only of the moment when Uzui leaves. After it, without delay your eyes and senses are searching for him.
But when looking for what you want, you find that another creature is about to take your life. Again Uzui's razors go through his neck. You, after seeing another body evaporating in front of you, run into Uzui's arms. You grab his neck with all your might.
"- Y/n-kun. Listen to me carefully…I don't think you'll be safer in this place from now on."
Uzui, can you hear your beats pulsing like never before. And in a sweet whisper, healing you, "he has all the solutions for your pains."
"- I'll take you with me tonight, you can stay with me until we find a safe place for you."
Who would leave their own home, but do you have a choice y/n?... Picking up some necessary items, you leave with Uzui for the night. Uzui is warning you that you may encounter some oni along the way. But as long as you're by his side, you'll be well.
On the journey Uzui "demands" that you close your eyes. So, you wouldn't see any evil creatures... But even… Your eyes can't see, you can hear various horrendous sounds, of swords and the sound that was reproduced by the creatures that were looking for new victims.
After the horror show... all you feel as time passes is a pleasant smell of wisterias. A heavy sound of a gate opening its the last thing before open your eyes.
"- You can look."
Now you see yourself come across his beautiful mansion. He puts you in a luxurious room all you can hear it's the peaceful silent.
"- The house is all yours y/n. Here it is safe, no one will attack you here."
Your sadness by all you went, is not hidden by your gaze.
And looking at it, he sighs, and whispering, he tries to calm you down. "- Listen, I'm going to bathe and we'll have a wonderful meal together. I want you to forget everything you saw today." Says the "gentle" Uzui.
You are apprehensive. And looks around and is anxiously awaiting Uzui's return. And he returns.
After his bath with beautiful wet white hair, without all that jewelry and paint, just comfortable linen pants, leaving his chest fully exposed for you to admire him in all his glory, it's a vision from heaven.
"- Did I delay?" He asks, crouching before you.
There is no strength in your being. Not even to answer, whether because of fatigue, shock, fright, or the feeling that Uzui causes you. Being ruthlessly handsome.
The touch on your cheek is light, but Uzui's hand is calloused. Warrior's hands. But on the other hand Uzui's lips are soft and tasty as they slide smoothly over yours, the smell of his breath it's just like a medicine to you, his hands wrap around you. Uzui feels his strong muscles being drawn by the tips of your fingers that are traveling along the back of the pillar.
Uzui is on fire before you… But let me make you aware , y/n...You did it before … You set him on fire for the first time with your sparkling eyes, your attention what was not in him, and by the beautiful contours and softness of yours, and even your incredible sarcastic mind playing around his own. Nothing could be more precious than this...
He remembered every detail as he ran the blood he had on his hands along the trunks of trees previously lefting a trap, while smiling thinking about the result... Near where you lived, of course he knew it y/n dear... It was a easy task yo him. After taking some of his friend Shinazugawa's blood for an "experiment"... He Attracted to your home all kinds of oni, which would not leave your home anytime soon...
"But now with him you are safe"... As long as you listen to EVERYTHING, what Uzui tells you... After all, you owe him your life, from now on the most precious jewel he owns is YOU... And Uzui keeps his treasures to himself. You will not be the exception darling…
a/n: Lowkey want to turn this into a full fic. I think Tengen would fall hard for a badass MC that can hold their own, bonus points if they can do it in a flashy way.

Yoshiwara was famous for its gorgeous courtesans, stunning fireworks and overall flashy atmosphere
So it was only natural the God of Festivals himself frequented the town in his spare time
Out of the countless bars there, his favourite had to be a small family-owned snack bar where you worked
You grew up in a fishing village off the coast where your dad was a chef, so you were good with a knife and knew how to expertly fillet a variety of seafood
Tengen always ordered the most expensive sake the bar had, paired with fugu (pufferfish) sashimi, a dish that's not technically on the menu but Tengen 'persuaded' the bar owner to stock
He loved watching you prepare the fugu, burgundy eyes glued to the movements of your blade as you transformed the fish into a beautiful flower-like display on the plate
“Your knife-skills sure are flashy!"
You were too busy to pay special attention to him, even if he was uncommonly attractive and always tipped triple what others did
To you, he was just another regular, albeit a weird one
Soon, Tengen found himself going to the restaurant almost every second day
He told himself it was because the sashimi was fantastic, but little by little he was paying less attention to the food and more attention to the skilful hands that prepared it
He always started conversations with you to find out more, no matter how insignificant the information it was stashed away in his brain under a folder titled 'Y/N'
One night, Tengen was sipping his usual sake and watching you prepare for closing, when a clearly drunk customer started to harass one of the girls that worked there
Tengen was ready to intervene when suddenly, you had the rowdy customer by the collar, sharp sashimi knife pointed at his throat
“Get the fuck out of my restaurant"
Tengen couldn't wipe the grin off his face
“What are you smiling at?" You scoffed at him
“Marry me." He blurted out.
"What? You must be drunk. I have work to do."
The next day Tengen paid the owner a whole day's worth of takings just to take you on a date
He took you to see the Yoshiwara fireworks for the first time
Even though you worked within earshot of them you had never found the time to indulge in such luxuries
Eventually you are invited to the Uzui Estate meet his wives
They all heard from Tengen about how protective and fearless you are
“...and then Y/N-san was like BAM and totally threw the bad guy into the wall!" Suma exclaimed
“That's not exactly what happened" You said, embarrassed
"See? They love you." Tengen smiled softly. "We love you."
You blushed furiously
You still worked at the restaurant because you enjoyed your job
Eventually you buy the business from the owner and become the head chef/owner
Hinatsuru, Makio and Suma always help you out in the front serving customers
Their charming personalities and beauty attract many customers and it kinda becomes a hostess bar
When customers got a little too friendly with the girls Tengen would appear and his murderous aura would scare them away
Not that the girls needed protecting, since they all carried concealed kunai
Your snack bar becomes the best in Yoshiwara and people would come from all across Japan to sample your culinary creations
Of course the signature dish is still fugu sashimi, in honour of your dear husband and your new found family
Hiya Em! I am back if you'll have me still 🙈 loved the soft soft soft Izo you wrote tysm! I watched demon slayer since and now my brain is loads of Tengen Uzui brainrot so I wondered if I could have him with Kissing? 👉👈 thank youwu
♡ Hiya Hazel, you know I'm always happy to have you in my inbox! I am also THRILLED to write for Uzui! He's so gorgeous and amazing and AHHGGG being able to write some good fluff for him is so much fun! I am also always happy to enable the brainrot 👀 I hope you enjoy, and thank you so much for the amazing request!
If there was one thing Uzui knew how to be, it was flamboyant and loud. He never half-assed anything he did, and he always made sure his passion shined brightly—especially for you. Hot off of a demon-slaying, adrenaline pumping in you both as you made your way out of the small town you'd been fighting in; you in his arms with a sprained ankle, him carrying you happily and without complaint despite the cuts and bruises littering his massive arms. "I can walk the rest of the way Tengen," you insisted, wanting to take the load off of the clearly injured Hashira, "It doesn't hurt that much anymore." Uzui laughed; not his usual boisterous laughter that would echo around you, but a soft and almost amused one, "My love, I don't want you to injure yourself any further; and we both know if you walk all the way to the Butterfly Estate like this, you will." "But Tengen—" You started to whine, only to be met with his lips on yours, your protests instantly silenced. Kissing him was passionate, consuming, always filled with every ounce of vigor he had in him, and it always left you breathless—just as he wanted you now. He pulled away, seemingly unphased as he admired how your eyes were widened, your skin flushed, and the subtle panting for breath. "Now, no more complaining, alright? If you think I can't handle carrying you, my sweet and wonderful and precious love, with a few dumb injuries? Then you are deeply underestimating me." He beamed; a spark of confidence and pride in his smile as he continued moving forward. After a kiss like that? You weren't even sure how to argue with him anymore, resorting to nestling into his chest and draping your arms around his neck for the rest of the journey.
hi!! i think the ask box is open right now but what about a fem! reader that was kinda adopted by all the hashiras when she was small, and on her first mission, she gets turned into a demon? and like they're all conflicted but it's kinda sad how the reader wants to die because she was turned :( if you can't write it it's okay! i love ur works sm <3
SWEET NOTHINGS, BITTER ENDINGS PART I.
SUMMARY: in which your overwhelming tenacity leads you to suffer a demonic fate.
WARNINGS: blood, profanity
A/N: thank you darling! this got a bit long so i’ve split it into two parts— the second part will be posted very shortly! link to part two
“(Y/N)!” Giyuu barked. “Get back!”
You steadily held your nichirin blade in front of you with both hands, staring down the towering demon in front of you. Three veiny arms sprouted out from each side of its body, taunting your group as its flaring yellow eyes locked onto yours.
Clutching the handle of your blade tighter, you panted heavily to control your breathing, clenching your teeth. “I’ve got this!” you hollered back, your knuckles turning white.
You heard a clink of metal and the whirling of a sword as a short purple-haired hashira stepped in front of you. “It’s too dangerous.” Her typical honey-sweet voice was darkened with concern and anger. “Please, (Y/N).”
You were shaking with anger, and... envy? All you wanted was to be strong. To bring home a kill on your first mission. To not be seen as a child anymore by the nine pillars who had taken you under your wing when you were just a baby.
I’m not a kid anymore, you wanted to scream. I want to show you what I can do.
“Go,” Giyuu commanded, casting a glance at Shinobu before briefly locking eyes with you. “We’ll handle this.”
Biting your tongue, you glared at the demon for a moment longer before turning on your heel and retreating to the rest of your squad.
“(Y/N)-chan!” Mitsuri wailed, throwing her arms around you. Over her shoulder, you spotted a fuming Obanai glaring daggers at you; whether he was jealous of the pink-haired girl draped over you or angry at your reckless actions, you couldn’t tell. “We were so worried about you!”
“No, we weren’t,” Obanai hissed. “What you did was idiotic and careless. You were putting everyone in danger.”
“Iguro-kun, always so protective!” Mitsuri giggled, patting you on the head before releasing you from her surprisingly tight hold, her expression growing serious. “Tomioka and Shinobu might need our assistance. (Y/N), go find Sanemi and see if he needs help. Iguro, come with me!” She quickly flounced off with a seething Obanai in tow.
Huffing a sigh, you entered the mass of trees behind you to search for the white-haired hashira.
Lofty, swaying pines loomed over you as the sounds of battle crashed throughout the forest. A flock of crows frantically flapped out from the canopy, shooting into the sky as their noisy caws rang through the air. Frigid winds whipped all around you as you hunted down the wind pillar.
A piercing clink of metal, not unlike the noise of a nichirin blade, sounded from your left. Sanemi? Cautiously drawing your sword from its sheath on your hip, you slowly made your way to the source of the noise.
As you neared a small clearing, the sound grew louder and louder, but you still could not locate any hashira or any demons for that matter. You spotted a thick tree to your right and fled over to hide behind it while you scouted out the area.
The clinking continued, and as you listened more closely, it seemed to be coming from...
Above?
Your heart went cold as you realized you didn’t hear any human voices around you.
At all.
You slowly slid your gaze upwards, not daring to move a single muscle.
And there it was. With a rotting arm clutching a chipped, bloodied blade, carving out the remains of a tattered corpse, three feral red eyes piercing through the dark shade and locking onto yours...
A demon.
Fear pooled instantly in your stomach as you felt bile rise in your throat. The putrid stench of rotten flesh and blood nearly made you hurl on the spot, yet your horror kept your nausea at bay.
Were you going to die here?
You felt your terrified breaths grow shallow as the demon above you licked its lips, tossing the corpse down in front of you with a thud.
“N-nemi?” you whispered in fear, praying, praying to the gods that this wasn’t one of your brothers. You quickly studied the corpse and your surroundings, searching for any sign that this bloodied body wasn’t him. You searched for his sword hilt, his white hair, his signature haori, but the darkness of the deep night made any hint or clue futile.
Glaring at the bloodthirsty demon above you, you were petrified with fear. Your heavy feet were locked into place. Your thumping heart nearly burst out of your chest. But you stared the beast down with all your might, slowly reaching your blade out to the corpse in front of you in attempt to retrieve the scrappy remains of what was left of it.
Inch by inch, your gaze unwavering with the demon’s bloodshot eyes, you dragged the body closer and closer to you until it was just within arm’s reach. Steeling yourself, you swiftly grabbed the body and darted away.
You had no time to check whose body you were holding. All you knew was that you had to—
“Kff!”
All of a sudden, your back hit the ground. Hard. With the wind knocked out of your lungs, all you could see was black. You felt your blade slip out of your grasp as your spine seared with red-hot pain. Once you regained your senses, you opened your eyes...
Oh, shit.
Impossibly sharp fangs loomed over you, dripping with foul saliva that oozed onto your heaving chest. Crazed yellow eyes speckled with pumping red veins latched onto yours, a rotting jade-colored head thrashing back and forth as its piercing claws pinned you to the ground. Its breath was the most vile scent you’ve ever smelled in your entire life, reeking of blood and flesh and who knows what else.
And it was just mere inches away from your face.
Stifling a wave of nausea, you swiftly pulled your knees up to your chest and pushed, kicking the demon backwards by its torso as hard as your body would let you.
Darting over to your blade which had fallen to the ground just a few feet away from you, you picked it up and pointed it at the snarling demon who was picking its burly body off of the forest floor.
“You!” you shouted, wiping your slimy face on the sleeve of your uniform. “I’m not scared of you!”
The demon responded with a warbling noise, something that sounded like... laughing?
Your nerves set on fire. Oh, that’s it. You would end this vile monster right here, right now.
“Leaf Breathing, Second Form: Whirlwind of Fronds!” Exhaling sharply through clenched teeth, you felt cool winds start to whip around you, picking up speed as leaves and needles rapidly gravitated towards you as though you were a magnet.
Now!
Growling with fury, you charged at the gremlin with all your might, the swirling flurry of foliage honing in on the center of its chest. Each leaf transformed into sharp, miniature daggers, piercing through the demon’s grayish skin and buying you just enough time to move in close. Wielding your blade with both hands, you raised it above your head before forcefully slicing downwards with a roar, aiming for the neck.
But your opponent was nimble, and it barely dodged its head out of the way, landing you a clean shot down its shoulder to its flank. Shit, the arm can just regenerate itself, you cursed, quickly angling your sword laterally for a slice through the neck as the demon howled in pain.
You slashed your sword as hard as you could, but instead of cutting through soft flesh, you were met with thick, gnarly bone. The demon had raised its other arm in defense, keeping your lethal blade at bay. Struggling to push back against the sturdy bone, you gritted your teeth as you attempted to release your sword from its muscle.
But the demon had already beaten you to it and whipped its hefty arm outwards to shake you off, hurling you across the clearing.
“Hkk!” You landed straight on your back once again with a heavy thud, but you noticed that your blade was still lodged into the creature’s arm. Perfect. Even though single nerve in your body was screaming in pain, even as your limbs trembled as you shakily picked yourself up off the ground, you would never back down from a fight. “Hey, ugly! Let’s finish this!”
The demon howled furiously, clamoring to rip your blade out of its arm.
“Third Form: Drill of Needles!”
Hundreds of thousands of pine needles descended from the midnight sky at your command, whirling into a tight cone while speeding towards the neck of the monster. You heard the earsplitting drilling of flesh and wood followed by a deafening groan and huffed in triumph as the pent-up exhaustion began to release throughout your body.
You nearly hit the ground for the third time when you caught some movement out of the corner of your eye.
Oh, hell no.
There was the same demon, its bright yellow eyes even more furious now, perched high up in a tree.
“B-but...” your mind and vision grew hazy as you noticed the gaping hole in the demon’s chest, with its neck still intact. I missed? You cursed sharply at the sight of your chipped blade thrown carelessly on the ground a great distance away from you.
What do I do? Giyuu, Shinobu, what do I do? Mitsuri? Obanai? Is anyone there?
Your felt your body begin to admit defeat, your legs shaking as they threatened to give out from underneath you, your heaving lungs burning and aching for rest.
The corpse.
Where was the corpse? The same one that got you into this mess?
Sanemi?
You struggled to keep your vision trained on the demon high above as your body started to wobble in exhaustion. “Hey,” you slurred. “Come out here! We’re not— kff! We’re not done yet!”
A snarl sounded from over your shoulder as the familiar stench of rotting flesh flooded your nose once again.
This time, you plummeted to the ground face-first, hearing your nose crack in the process. But your body was too drained for you to properly register the pain.
You were so numb.
Groaning, you slowly rolled onto your back and gazed into the eyes of the demon hovering above you hungrily. Its arm that you had sliced off had already fully recovered, while the other arm choked your neck with an iron grip.
Your vision was nearly white now, your oxygen supply running low as blood trickled out of your neck where the demon’s claw had pierced the skin.
Die. Die. You were going to die. On your first mission. Without a single kill under your belt.
Forcing a smirk onto your face, you squeezed your eyes shut as you endured the pain as best you could. “Hey, now— hck... If there’s anything that Sanemi taught me... it’s that humans... always get the last laugh...” You cracked open one eye, staring straight into the demon’s yellow orbs.
“Noxious... nectar...” you gasped out one last command, watching the bloody pinpricks dotted all around the demon’s greying skin transform into purple specks of poison. The monster thrashed around, violently clutching its head at the pain seeping through its entire body. You watched as your first and last kill take place right in front of you as your vision began to fade.
But not before the demon’s deadly blood dripped into your open wounds.

Hello, can I do a ask? ... Can you write a modern one to me? Uzui X female Reader. I would love a scenario ( you can choose) where they can flirt a lot, exploring his bright and fun personality, but in a beautiful way you know, before they finally get together. Thank you ☺
hi love i hope this is what you were looking for!
characters: uzui x f!reader
wc: 995
warnings: like,,3 swear words
Your relationship with Uzui Tengen had always been playful, friendly, and teasing for as long as you could remember. When you were six and tripped over your own feet as you sprinted to try and pet the puppy before it walked off, wailing as Uzui rubbed your cheeks and pinched your nose, making funny faces in an attempt to calm you down. At thirteen when you tried to paint your nails for the first time but ended up with clumps and dried paint on the edges of your fingertips, rolling your eyes and flicking his forehead when he teased you about your inability to colour inside the lines. When Uzui turned 18 and was gifted a secondhand car from his parents, as you held tight onto the seatbelt, Uzui in the driver’s seat laughing and telling you to don’t worry so much or you’re going to get frown lines.
You’d known Uzui since you were a child, so it wasn’t shocking to you that in all your years of knowing him, he only ever had three girlfriends, all of which were long-term. You, on the other hand, seemed to go on a date with a different person every other week. You’d meet someone at a café and hit it off, thinking that you were so lucky to have met someone so wonderful, only for them to send you a this isn’t going to work out text the day after your date. Everyone your friends set you up with, promising that you’re going to love them! ghosted you after the second date, if not the third.
Uzui had been with you after every date before you even knew that it was a failed one; he had been the one to help you pick out your outfits every time, after all. He’d been there for you every time, giving you a pat on the back and offering you a hot chocolate while you cussed up a storm, cursing out your friends for getting your hopes up again and again. He’d hold back on his teasing if he noted that you were particularly upset, which you were eternally grateful for, but when he knew that you were not bothered, he’d poke fun at you until you decked him in the face with your pillow.
Uzui had always been beside you and supported you every time you went on a date, so you were left confused when he didn’t even read your message. The small, italicized Delivered underneath your text glares back at you as you squint, urging it to change to the familiar Read you see every time you send Uzui a message. It doesn’t change. You shrug it off; it’s not like you couldn’t function without him anyway…
…Is what you would have liked to say. Throughout the entirety of your date, you found yourself distracted. Every buzz of your phone you’d check for Uzui’s name, only to be disappointed when it wasn’t. By the end of it, your date had made it clear they wouldn’t be seeing you again, saying that they felt as if you were too distracted with your phone. You shrugged it off, they weren’t wrong.
When you got home, you were surprised to see Uzui sitting on your couch, one of your game controllers in hand while the other one lay on the seat beside him. He barely gave you a glance before patting the seat with the controller. He doesn’t say anything for the first half hour, before finally speaking up, “So, how did the date go?”
“It was fine. We’re not seeing each other again,” you reply, eyes never leaving the screen. “You never replied to my text.”
He grins, “Oh? Were you worried about me? Is that why your date went bad?” Your character dies, and you take the chance to grab the cushion, swinging it at him.
“Yeah, I was worried, you dick! I thought something happened.” He catches the cushion, barking out a laugh, before he grows silent. He’s staring at you, brows furrowed, as if he’s thinking hard about what to say next. “What? Is there something on my face?”
“No, nothing. I was just thinking about how little sense it makes that you’ve never had a long-term relationship.” You should feel offended, really, but the way he looks at you makes you force your thoughts back. He takes your silence as his cue to continue, “I mean I’ve been in love with you for the past two years I don’t know how you never realized.”
“You’ve what? Tengen that’s not a funny joke.”
The shit-eating grin doesn’t leave his face even after you tell him to stop joking around. You think back over your memories of the past two years. Uzui had never given off the impression that he’d loved you in any way other than purely platonically, but you and him have been best friends since you were children. You realize that at one point you stopped overthinking everything he did for you and that it had become natural for him to sleep in the same bed as you, that every time he brought you a drink from the café down the street and kissed your forehead was something that you had assumed to be a friendly gesture.
“Look as much as I appreciate you admiring my face, I’m still waiting for an answer, you know.” Uzui’s rolling his eyes, but you can tell from the way his hands fidget that he’s nervous.
“Oh…Uhm, yeah,” you manage to stutter out. “I like you too.” His posture changes immediately; his back is straighter, his head tilted back ever so slightly.
“You couldn’t resist my charm, right? I hope your schedule is cleared for tomorrow because I got us reservations for tomorrow night.”
Your pillow hits him straight in the face.
bonus
“Tengen, what would you have done if I said no?”
“Well, hopefully they would have taken pity on me and given me free breadsticks.”

Gyomei Himejima X Reader
Past and Future ⏳
The hands meet in the midst of tears and blood, Gyomei, feels the last exhale of his lungs, and in his last moments, the heat of the touch desperately alerting him begging him not to leave, Gyomei ardently longed for the caresses he was to receive now, but can never say anything, or has simply decided to do so.
The purpose of ending the suffering of many, brought to mind the pillar that perhaps it would cost his life, which he generously gave in exchange for the innocents who had gone and protected future generations.
You on the other hand refuse to believe. Your heart bleeds with the pain that pierces your being. He's so splendid, even about to leave you.
The gentle hands overflowing like a mighty stream of water is perceived. Your fingertips whisper your secret. Your tongue never uttered the three sacred words, but in the painful farewell, Gyomei's heart could smile, he felt that this strong and overwhelming feeling is reciprocal. And squeezing your hand, which is still on the brave warrior's face, with Gyomei's departure, he lets go towards goodbye.
You're from the support team, the survivors look at you in melancholy. The demonstrations, gifts exchanged, words of praise, never went unnoticed. Only you believed so. But love emanated like the sweetest fragrance. Your forehead against his already lifeless, makes many feel sadder.
Tanjiro, after returning from the demonic state caused by Muzan, puts his hands on your shoulders. Speechless but with eyes reflecting your pain with drops traveling through his eyelids makes you share the excruciating sensation. Tanjiro has become a great friend, just like the other survivors. Your life went on, but Gyomei never gave up to have a space in your memory.
You have kept your beloved's haori, and this precious item has been kept in your generation for a long time…
