Yep, Phil was definitely lost. It was his fault, he supposed — He’d wandered away from his partners and kids in favor of a corndog stand. He was always a sucker for carnival foods... What a weakness indeed, all of the fried goodness of funnel cakes and oreos, then loads of cotton candy...
The carnival grounds were lively as ever, packed with people and children hollering and squealing. Phil would have used his phone to call and try to find his family, but alas... He’d killed it playing Bejeweled on the way here. Unwise decisions.
It was when he spotted someone else that seemed out of place that he halted. They had that doe-eyed look of confusion like a tourist that strayed a little too far.
Nervously, Phil approached, anxiety wearing into him. He was still not exactly skilled at speaking to people, only recently being pushed out of the manor to experience the world again. “Uh... Hi, sorry, um- Are you lost? I mean... I’m lost- I mean...”

Y'all................
Margo was a person, you murderer.
Destroy My Muse On Anon || OPEN AND ACCEPTING
He'd been trying not to think about it, but it had come to mind constantly over the past few days. He wasn't certain what the trigger was. As he stared into the mirror, it warped, and yet... It didn't. It was hard to explain — Physically, it was of the same appearance. The same big nose, big ears, bushy eyebrows and ratty blond hair. But something within the reflection seemed so unfathomably foreign to him in the most real, unjoking sense. He didn't recognize his own face. He didn't recognize the dark bags under his eyes, nor the blue eyes filled with tears.
He recalled that day, though, in vivid detail. The most gruesome parts of it, anyway. The crunch under his knuckles again and again as he drove them into Margo's face mercilessly, again and again and again and again. He'd done it repeatedly, until his hands screamed in pain. Until the woman's face was even more unrecognizable than his was now. A bloody pulp that hardly resembled a human. He'd killed her in absolute rage, appalled at her audacity to try and harm the people he cared about.
Still, on many days, he wondered if things could have just gone a bit differently. Perhaps, then, she and Charlotte could still live.
A knock came to the master bedroom's door.
"Daddy?" Sandy's voice asked.
Phil paused.
"Just a second, buddy." He called back, wiping away the tears.
“I put butter in mine!”
A tragedy has occurred
daltedrinks asked:
"Phil... you did all that? That's.. awful. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I've seen stuff like that happen with Enn, when he gets this.. bloodlust. It still freaks me out sometimes." He's referring to the time Phil mauled someone. Not sounding angry, or judgemental at all, hell, he sounds empathetic.
Nen takes a sip of his water, not meeting his eyes. "I did something like that, too. I was seven. Shot a blast... right through my old man. I was scared, and... You don't intend to, but it just... happens so fast, doesn't it? It's scary."

Phil bends forward in a hunch as he sits, resting his elbows on his knees. He averts his gaze in preference to stare off to the side,
“It does,” He agrees to the statement of speed. It had all happened in the blink of an eye. One minute, Margo was luring them in with Charlotte as her serving pawn, and the next minute he and Virgil were burning the place down to hide all of the evidence. He remembered all too well the look Virgil had as he helped douse the place to get the inferno going. They were both murderers, but they had no choice.
In reference to Nen’s predicament, he finally looks back toward the feline, brows furrowed. “Did he...?”
He finds himself unable to utter the next word, that being ‘die’. He’s truly curious, and immediately wonders if he’s crossed a boundary line of comfort with his friend.

Do you ever wake to find a home a little too quiet? To find that the gentle, harmless murmurings in your mind have not yet begun, that the walls do not creak and bend to your heartbreak's song... It's quiet to an unsettling degree. Lovers surround you, warmth embracing you with sweet affections which pile into your very being, but you can't help but wonder in the darkness if they are really real — Or perhaps, more mortifyingly — You dreamed it all up. Is that your partner grasping onto your waist, or someone unknown to you?
