Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt
On 5th October 2018, after finished my class, I went to the exhibition hold by Victoria & Albert Museum with my coursemates.
“The exhibition provides a unique insight into the design process behind a selection of groundbreaking contemporary videogames. Design work, including concept art and prototypes, feature alongside large-scale immersive installations and interactives” (Victoria and Albert Museum, 2018).
It shows plenty of game developers and their accomplished products. There are showing 1 of the games I like the most, The Last of Us.
“It is an action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released for the PlayStation 3 worldwide on June 14, 2013. Players control Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl, Ellie, across a post-apocalyptic United States. The Last of Us is played from a third-person perspective; players use firearms and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. In the game's online multiplayer mode, up to eight players engage in cooperative and competitive gameplay” (Wikipedia, 2018).
Moreover, visitor can experiences the arcades in the exhibition. It was fun when you have friends playing with you.
I would suggest game lovers visit there, it might give you some idea to create a character or maybe develop a game?

Today for class we went to the V&A to work on our camera settings. We shot in manual mode which was a first for me. I had my ISO on 200 for all of these pictures but I was switching my metering settings, aperture, and shutter speed. These are some of my favorite pictures that I took of the art and the people.
