            the students from the three wizarding institutions started to mingle in the courtyard after dumbledore’s speech — bellamy could feel the energy shift from the moment that the goblet of fire had been brought out. it wasn’t even a question that the beauxbaton girl was putting her name in. anxiously awaiting for the elves to finish cleaning the dining hall, everyone awaited excitedly to put their names into the goblet. walking around in her silk uniform, she noticed a student that seemed rather familiar. “eleanor?” she questioned at the hogwarts student, though looking at the other girl it was clear she had veela blood running through her veins given how pretty she was. “—sorry, i don’t know if you remember me. i’m your cousin’s roommate, bellamy,” she reminded the girl. “we met briefly at quidditch world cup last summer,” she smiled warmly.

Edythe never really liked trains, they were always too packed and noisy. The Hogwarts Express was no exception. It was almost impossible to find an empty compartment, she really just wanted to be alone for the entire train ride, but it looked like she’d have to settle for joining someone else.  

She hesitantly knocked before sliding the door open, immediately hating having so many eyes on her. Maybe if she didn’t talk too much, they wouldn’t notice her accent. Yeah right. “Um, hi... Is it okay if I sit with you? Everywhere else is crowded.”

Del bounded into the common room, searching around dramatically for her friend. “Nolan!” she called out obnoxiously. Her theatrics attracted the attention of some first years, but those who had been in Hufflepuff were used to Delaney. She was dramatic, but it was all taken in stride. As soon as she found him, Del scooted up next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. “Nolan.... my favorite friend... sunshine of my life. I need a favor,” she said, batting her lashes at him.

It’s three minutes past midnight when Sirius makes his solemn declaration, and James snorts loudly and shoves his best mate while somehow simultaneously pulling him closer in a headlock. 

They’ve spent ages hiding their plans from him, but in the end it hadn’t mattered much anyways. As always the four of them are tucked away in their dorm room, sweets littered across their beds and more. There’s scattered plans, forgotten assignments, experiments...and a rather large textbook from the restricted section of the library thumps to the floor during the scuffle. 

“You’re older,” James clarifies with ease, as if this will somehow comfort Sirius. “We’re,” he motions to Remus, Peter and himself, “still in the prime of our lives.”

Sirius has been fifteen all of three minutes and dramatically bemoans his newfound maturity when merely hours ago he had been bragging about it. James lets out a commiserating kind of sigh, though it does little to mask the lopsided grin that pulls onto his face.

“Wait, can you hear me? I reckon we can figure out something for that, my dad might have a hearing trumpet somewhere. We’ll ask Madam Pomfrey about a zimmer frame, though I s’pose I can help you get to the great hall for breakfast. Pete, you think you can mash up his food tomorrow so Sirius can chew? He’s delicate in his old age.”

((HOGWARTS AU HEADCANON: In his later years of Hogwarts, Sasha would lovingly act as a big brother figure to younger students not only in Hufflepuff but the other houses as well. This attitude would earn him Prefect status in his fifth year. As a Prefect, he’d be fairly lenient regarding “harmless” rule violations and would only punish for more violent or dangerous ones--even then, relatively lightly.

On a funnier note, the first time he helps guide first years to the Hufflepuff Basement on the first day, he does the “We’re walking, we’re walking...” meme until one of his fellow Prefects dope smacks him for being a dork.))

“i’m a unregistered animagus and you just caught me transforming in the forbidden forest.” 

Lucrecia's eyes were wide as she threw her hand out, “—Wait!” The girl basically growled as she stood up from the ground. Lu had been an animagus since her fifth year, never having an incident close to getting caught until now. There was no denying that the figure had seen her transform from a fox so she couldn’t just let them walk away. Wand at the ready, the Slytherin runs into the forest, chasing after the boy that had seen her. “You shouldn’t be roaming around here, you know,” she stood in the middle of the forest in silence hoping for a lead. There was an eerie presence that always loomed around the Forbidden Forest that made her wrap her hand a little tighter around the wand, “I just want to talk.”

“we were practicing the riddikulus charm with an actual boggart and on your turn you had a panic attack so i took care of your turn and are you okay?”

              “—Riddikulus,” the hawthorn wand started to crackle as a whip-crack noise echoed in the room, turning Emma’s worst fear into a disney cartoon musical on a tv screen. He didn’t bother to look as he eagerly put the boggart back into its case, locking it shut. Holden barely had anytime to focus on what Emma’s worst fear was when it was clear that she was not alright. Making his way to Emma’s side, he dropped down to her, letting his wand fall to his side as he furrows his eyebrows, “H-hey, it’s alright... it’s alright. It’s just a boggart, it’s gone now,” the Gryffindor tried to comfort reaching for her shoulders, unsure of what to even do. Holden felt the guilt bubbling within him, he had asked Emma to stay after class to help him practice, but he never imagine that this would have happened.

"What do you mean Muggle pizza?” Scorpius asked, mouth stuffed at the table in the Great Hall. He wasn’t sure how different Muggle food could be from the wizarding world cuisine. Granted, he hadn’t really experienced much outside of the Malfoy household and Hogwarts, but he doubted it could be that different. “I don’t know. I still think nothing compares to the cookie of house elves.”
