"But that's KAYEEDAYY's lie!"
Harumaki is now "Makiroll" in the English localization. I don't know how to feel about it.

So Harumaki is now Makiroll xD

Somebody datamined the English demo and discovered NISA changed Harumaki to Makiroll. …Got any clue why? Nobody’s going to know you mean a spring roll unless they’re knowledgeable about Japanese pastries so why make it harder to understand instead of coming up with an entirely new nickname?
I am so flattered that you guys all wanted to let me know about the nickname RollRoll (she’s like DOUBLE the Rockman/Megaman sidekick!).
Does anyone in the West say “maki roll”? I mean it is kinda silly from my perspective since you’re saying the word twice, but there’s a chance people say it, since they also say things like “the Tamagawa River” and whatnot.
Personally, I would have just called her “Spring Roll” and given Momota a line where he goes “You know, cause the word for it in Japanese is ‘harumaki’?”
You know, make the player learn something?
(Pedantic Point: Harumaki are not pastries, they’re just straight up food, and also I’m pretty sure they’re Chinese.)
(kaede voice) shuuichi.... kaito, gonta, kiibo, kirumi
Jess I just heard the worst pronounciation for Kaede on a lp. "Kayd"
That sounds more like a nickname, like how I call Kiibo and Chabashira "Keebs" and "Chabs".
Seriously, i am getting really annoying as hell with this. Why not just stick to the japanese voices? if you don't like it just ignore it? But i respect you but at the same time i disagree with your views, i am nothing against you but i feel like this whole EN dub thing is like beating a dead horse.
I have nothing against you, i am sorry if i said that in the first ask i got really angry about it mostly it been getting on my nerves. If you people want actual bad voice acting just listen to resident evil and then come back to me.
Yeah, like I said before, I find anime-style voice acting affected and unnatural, which is why I play the original Japanese game and don’t bother with the localization. Most of my critique of the game is about the original Japanese and honestly I don’t care too much about the English version.
The localization just came out though so people want to talk to me about it. I get that it can get irritating, so I’ll try to be sure I tag with #V3 dub so you can blacklist them.
(I actually love the terrible voice acting in early RE. It’s so bad it loops around to entertaining rather than boring/mediocre. Like The Room vs The Notebook.)
Spoilery V3 Ask
‘Cha, bruh
"A new killing game with begin soon." is actually what NISA wrote. It's in the physical copy of the games.
This is what happens when you rush.I would know.
The NDRV3 localization is actually great!!! :D
…I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not.
