for betaverse pack-born children, i imagine it's a group parenting situation and in healthy packs there (hopefully) isn't overt favoritism based on an alpha's biological ties to a specific child. i'm curious if in betaverse there are super "traditional" packs that follow the pack hierarchy in terms of having kids, wherein the pack alpha gets first choice on the omega having their child, and so on? I guess in my brain that idea sort of ties into the "volleyball team seniority hierarchy" thing in hq!!, where some teams care about that and some don't. And since i've always gotten more of a "traditional" vibe from inarizaki in hq!! (and you mentioned in a previous ask that reader gets the least say on kids/pregnancy with kita's pack), i wonder if they would follow pack hierarchy with kids like that, or if they don't care and everyone shoots their shot LOL

I can understand why you’d think there’d be priority to pack alphas, but while I won’t say it never happens anywhere ever, not within our three packs.

All kids are pack kids, kita’s kid is just as much osamu’s as his own (excluding like… minor bragging rights/competitveness)

Healthy packs run well when everyone is cared for and listened to – while Kita does assume a leadership role (as do the other pack alphas) they work because everyone’s needs are the same. Kita wouldn’t disrespect his packmates by essentially claiming first rights. Also it’s just… hard to enforce.
