now that I’ve left the state I can say my vacation in South Carolina was super fun! got drinks at The Palmetto last night and played Chinese checkers

also, I can link all the restaurants we went to (links directly to their respective menus):

The Boathouse - their salmon was super good, amazing lemon basil aioli. they also had a great smoked gouda mac and cheese

82 Queen - might have been my favorite restaurant, we went for brunch. they have a great seasonal parfait and fried chicken! also, their in-house hot sauce is killer

Nautical Bowls - went to the Nautical Bowls at The Citadel, cute little smoothie bowl place. I tried their Paddle Bowl and it was refreshing, lots of coconut and granola

Halls Chophouse - when I say they have an amazing rack of lamb, oh my gosh. their seasoning is on point and the staff are really attentive and friendly. stellar crème brûlée too

Outpost Isle of Palms Marina - bought their fried shrimp basket and a slice of key lime pie for the beach, I’d totally recommend for good food on the go

Mesu - their bao buns and house fries are worth going there alone haha. that said, I also got their tiger and dynamite sushi. the server we had was amazing, really sweet and had great recommendations

The Palmetto - we just went for drinks after Mesu. I was told their espresso martinis were fantastic, I just had a cranberry mocktail. the bar has an amazing look, lots of greens and wood

went to the animate pop up store today!! they only had a little amount of pjsk merch when I came here but I managed to get a box of pjsk cards!!! I also went to daiso to buy oshikatsu stuff and ended up with a decorative fan and stickers to decorate :>

oh and I played ddr/dance dance revolution at the arcade :3

Reading Moby Dick on a beach on Fuerteventura and suddenly hearing someone scream that they spotted a dolphin/whale and then indeed seeing it myself must be one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.

One thing I really love about visiting Scotland is their charmingly sarcastic customer service.

We went to have a pub meal the other day, and they didn't have any larger tables, so we had to split the party and sit down at two separate tables. But as soon as a larger table became free, one of the servers immediately came over and offered us to relocate so we could all sit together. So, one of my lady friends thank the server for being very thoughtful.

His reply was: Och, don't be daft, yer silly goose!

Earlier today, we were at a souvenir shop, and one of my friends decided to buy a very grumpy looking plush turtle.

The souvenir shop cashier's first words were: Have you found your spirit animal, Sir?

I’ve had an amazing time in San Francisco but I’m so ready to be hoooooooome. The bloat is real and I need some time at home to just decompress and hang out with the kids. We get back into Spokane in time to grab them from class and then have a couple hours at home before Liam’s baseball game tonight. 🙌🏻
