Somewhere along the line, the idea of healing!Vader getting a beanie shoved on his head was beamed into my brain...

Anyway. Little Anakin thought space was so cold his first time on a starship and Padme gave him a blanket to keep warm. Bald!Anakin surely has no tolerance or natural defenses against being chilly... he's lucky Padme still has warm clothing around, even if the style is antithetical to his ~intimidating aura~

(This is some vague AU where Padme lives & Vader eventually defects to be with his wife. Along the way, the medical situation becomes slightly less of a horror show for him.)

BREAKING: ANAKIN SKYWALKER AND DARTH VADER ARE THE SAME PERSON

The discovery of the new Skywalker temple in the deserts of Naboo has set the galaxy ablaze. It has not only pulled the myth off of the thousand years old Skywalker folklore told in some variation on nearly every planet in the republic, it has also thrown into question almost eight centuries of belief system—of both the Jedi and the Sith’ari.

The formerly lost—and the largest—Skywalker temple is reportedly a shrine to Anakin Skywalker and his wife, Padmé Amidala Naberrie Skywalker. Though details are still coming in, certain facts have been confirmed by the emergency Senate committee that congregated after the galaxy-wide uproar and demands of truth.

Here is what we know:

Anakin Skywalker did fall to the darkside—though the Jedi will tell you otherwise, giving legitimacy to the versions of the myth which circulate mostly in the mid and outer rim regions.

The reason for his fall was apparently a desperate attempt to save his wife, manipulated to the darkside by the very Sith lord that the order of Sith’ari reveres—Darth Sidious.

After his fall, Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader.

Yes, they are the same person. Anakin Skywalker is not the father that the legendary hero of myth, Luke Skywalker, avenged. Rather, he is the father that the hero vanquished to save the galaxy, though the Sith’ari will tell you otherwise.

Both the order of Jedi as well as the Sith’ari are yet to release statements about these revelations. The senate factions that back the orders have also refused to speak to the media. We are left with more questions than answers at this stage.

Surprisingly, the most mysterious figure in this century-defining discovery has turned out to be Padmé Amidala Naberrie Skywalker—a figure that existed and whose love story changed the very landscape of the galaxy a thousand years ago.

A gauntlet tightens and durasteel groans, because alongside the now undeniable truth that Padmé Naberrie is alive? A lie festers in equal measure.

Ten years.

Ten years, he has carried her alleged ‘death’ like an open wound. He let it hollow him out until there was nothing left but purpose… and pain. So much of it was built on deception and thus the very thought now rips through him with violent clarity.
