New Year’s Eve.
The two roommates opted out of attending a big New Year’s celebration party. Instead, they chose to stay in the comforts of their apartment. Order some takeout while watching the ball drop. Drinking was never a part of the night’s plans. Well, it was for Grantaire. Not so much Enjolras. At least not at first. However, one thing led to another and his friend was somehow able to convince the curly haired blond to have one glass of wine. Of course he grumbled a little about it at first. It’s common knowledge that alcohol impairs a person’s judgement. But one glass of wine wasn’t going to do anything too drastic. And that’s right. Except he didn’t stick to just the one.
As it neared midnight, Enjolras lost count on how many times he’s had Grantaire refill his glass for him. You can bet once he’s able to think straight he’s going to let his friend have it. But right now he’s more focused on the live performances on screen.
❝R, get in here! You’re gonna miss the ball drop.❞ Enjolras’s words are slurred as he practically shouts from across the room. They have just under two minutes left before the ball drops, signaling the start of a new year.
