Character synopsis:
Slashy is a stealthy and quiet member of Kate's domain. While Vailly fulfills her duties, she doesn't particularly seem devoted or faithless to the Rot. No one knows about her past nor does she remember.
She's the most stoic member, rarely talking or showing emotions. The only people she does talk to are Kate, The general, the Prowler, Grinner but mainly Liam.
While not tracking anyone, Slashy enjoys reading or playing with the General's Cane Corsos.

The Rot
Vailly doesn't remember much about how it found her. Everything she knows is through Kate.
Kate is the reason everyone is alive. Slashy respects Kate for stepping up as the leader and creating a system to keep everyone alive and in good graces with the Rot. Even if Kate has no light behind her eyes and has tea time with a rotten corpse.
The General seems too kind to be the head of patrol but Slashy thinks he's cool. He keeps everyone alive and his dogs are cute.
The Prowler is known as Kate's second hand. Slashy rarely sees her. The Prowler is always in the trees and strikes only when Carrions get in violent fights or outsiders invade.
Mallory Anderson leader of an another domain. Slashy hasn't interacted with her. She overheard Lexi stating Mallory is a brute though.
Liam is quiet and keeps to his self most of the time. No one really knows why or how Slashy and X-virus became so close. All is known is that they're care deeply for each and are inseparable.
Grinner doesn't cause trouble so Slashy doesn't have to interact much. Vailly does like her dog. She's a good kid.
Eve is the top weakest link. Vailly is constantly surveying her ever move. She knows Eve clever and bitter person who would burn the garden to spite the Rot.
Lexi Keller is the second weakest link. The pale haired woman is only alive because of Kate, Slashy would've weeded her out if Lexi wasn't a caretaker for Gabriel and Alette. The two barely react but Lexi feels Slashy's gaze all the time.
Gabriel is unpredictable. Slashy knows he won't ever defect but his distrusting nature and history with Mallory makes him volatile. His capricious behaviors often puts him on Slashy's raider.
Alette. Slashy doesn't know much about the girl. She doesn't really believe she has a connection to the Rot though. Seeing the Rot has a certain effect on the and the girl doesn't have the same hollow look Kate has.
Alice is chill. Slashy informs Alice who the weak links are and keep them from defecting.

Valerie (Vailly) Mitchell: (pre-proxy)
Vailly was a major film / literature nerd. Her favorite movies are Dead Poets Society, Buffalo 66 (for the aesthetics, fuck Vincent Gallo), Mysterious Skin, and Belladonna of Sadness. Her favorite books are Paradise Lost, The Yellow Wallpaper, No Longer Human, and Lolita.
Vailly is a trans woman. She is fully transitioned, having started her journey at a very young age. Her father was extremely supportive of her, being the first person to take her to get her ears pierced. Unfortunately, her mother uses Vailly's transition as a way to guilt trip her, constantly complaining about the "sacrifices she's made" to make Vailly happy and so on. (Btw I'm always up for suggestions on how to better represent trans people as a cis author! If anyone reading this is trans and you'd like to share details about your journey that you feel would benefit Vailly's character, please feel free to do so!)
Vailly LOVES dogs. They're her #1 weakness. Especially saint Bernards!
Slashy:

Slashy presents herself as very emotionally numb. She doesn't socialize with others unless she absolutely has to. She doesn't smile much, and doesn't show intense emotions a lot.
I kind of ship her with Toby, but I've seen a few people pair her with X-Virus which is also a pretty cute pairing.
Ruby Addams:

Before becoming a proxy, Ruby was very serious about ballet. She was going to college on a dance scholarship before being institutionalized shortly after.
Ruby is half Puerto Rican on her mother's side.
She loves thrifting and early 2000's grunge aesthetics. Chunky belts and big jewelry mixed with thick black eyeliner all the way.
Gutwrench:

Got her name from her first kill. She murdered an attendant at her institution who'd been abusing her with a wrench from the maintenance closet.
The persona "Gutwrench" and Ruby are two separate people. Gutwrench is the persona that takes over when Ruby is in proxy mode (obviously) she's more Slenderman taking the reins. Ruby is fully unconscious in this mode.
When she wakes up after being in "Gutwrench" mode, Ruby is almost always so disturbed it makes her physically ill. She'll come to in a cold sweat, usually covered in vomit.
