Ingredients : 1 ½ Cup Steam Rice 1 Cup Chopped Onion 3 Spoon Coriander 1 Cup Sprouted Val (Field) Beans 4 Spoon Grated Coconut 3 Spoon Chopped Tomatoes 5 Spoon Oil 1 ½ Spoon Red Chilli Powder 1 ½ Spoon Goda Masala 2-3 Chopped Garlic 1 Spoon Turmeric Powder 1 Spoon Cumin Seeds ½ Spoon Asafoetida ½ Spoon Mustard Seeds Jaggery as per taste Salt as per taste Procedure : Add 5 Spoons Oil in a Pan. Add 1 Spoon Mustard Seeds Add 1 Spoon of Cumin Seeds and 2-3 Chopped Garlic. Add 1 Cup of Onion and Cook until the Onion Turns Pinkish in Colour. Add 1 Spoon of Turmeric Powder, ½ Sspoon of Asafoetida, 1 ½ Spoons of Red Chilli Powder and Sauté . Add 1 Cup of Sprouted Vaal (Field Beans) and 3 Spoons of Chopped Tomatoes & Mix well. Add 4 Spoons of Grated Coconut and 1 ½ Spoon of Goda Masala. Mix well. Add 1 ½ Cup of Rice and Sauté it. Add Salt as per Taste. Add warm Water, Cover the Pan and Cook it for 7-8 Minutes. Add Jaggery as Per Taste and Cook. Your Vaalachi Khichdi is ready! Serve Hot with Coriander and Grated Coconut. Tips : Add Ghee and Coriander as Per Taste while Serving.
