This may be a controversial post but oh well
I don’t see why people ship ThorBruce
In ragnarok Thor lies to both Bruce and Hulk to use their separate strengths for his own use. Telling both of them that he prefers them over the other and that other people don’t like the other side nearly as much. That’s just manipulative and terrible to do to a friend.
He tells hulk that Hulk is being a bad friend because he doesn’t want to leave. Hulk is happy being a gladiator and enjoying what he’s doing.
Then when hulk replies that Thor is being the bad friend, which he is, Thor tells hulk that everyone calls him the stupid avenger.
Thor literally tells Bruce he’s not powerful or useful....
Like yeah, Bruce says that line in endgame about how Thor brought him back from a bad place....but...did he actually? As much as I also dislike NatBruce thanks to its lack of buildup or any reasoning behind it. It was a recording of Nat that brought Bruce back. Not Thor. And throughout the movie Thor is belittling Bruce’s side of things
I used to really ship Val and Bruce. She valued both hulk and Bruce. Was not afraid of hulk and even roughhoused with him. But then they gave us that brilliant line of “I think I preferred you either of the other ways.” And that made me dislike that pairing just a little because as much as professor hulk irks me at times it’s kinda important to accept your friends.....
Honestly so far Bruce’s romantic options in the MCU aside from Val used him in someway. Nat pushed him to what would have been his death just to get hulk to come out. Thor used both hulk and Bruce...Val was harsh about his change....poor guy needs some actual unconditional love
