leo and nico are both gremlins but in different fonts

leo's a gremlin in that he's too smart for anyone's good (but specially his) and is the reason things at camp sometimes dissapear only to reappear later where they were (the toolbelt)

nico's a gremlin in that he never sleeps and will stab you in your kneecaps

was suddenly grabbed by this vivid idea of Valgangelo hugging each other, but not romantically, like after Jason's death, and they both were pretending they were hugging Jason, because they both loved Jason in their own ways and they both knew the other also did, and it was about this one person among hundreds who knew exactly what they felt and the comfort of that.

and after Leo like squeezes Nico's arms like an acknowledgment and then they let go and went back to never interacting, and like, what am I supposed to do with this?

do you ever think part of the anger Nico felt over Leo's death had to do with his guilt over his own part on it, that he's haunted by the image of the very rocket he let fly knowing it would end an enemy colliding and exploding against Leo? that someone who risked life and limb for people Nico cares about was torn apart by his own actions?

that the guilt festered and built, turning to anger when Leo returned, specifically because they had no connection. because nico couldn't marry that guilt with the lack of connection between them?

One more: Nico owns a copy of Insomniatic by Ally and AJ. At first it was just a joke gift from someone but he ended up loving it and has every word memorized and every so often when hes frustrated over a certain Sea Prince he’ll pop it in and sing along loudly as if every word were aimed at Percy. The only one who knows is Leo and he keeps the secret to himself out of fear and a respect of private moments.
