Monsters were annoying, sure. But she also had been running on energy drinks for the last while.
So sue her, she wasn't concentrating properly when shadow travelling. So instead of ending up outside the closest convenience store she ended up a couple feet above a stranger.
Only for a moment before she fell on top of them.
"Argh" she groaned, "what the hell"
Hey. You should probably get up
Give me a second I just fell
Yeah on top of someone
Wait...what?
She glanced down at her brother's comment to see who she had fallen on, "oh shit. I'm so sorry" she got off

Leila had a surprisingly good night's sleep. Well for the most part.
She fell asleep faster than her insomnia normally allowed her to. And she was exhausted enough to not have demigod nightmares.
But that just meant she had her normal run of the mill mortal nightmares. And when they were about the two years of absolute abyss and darkness she spent, and the night she lost her brother she would rather deal with nightmares about monsters.
She woke up without a sound, her breathing heavy as she sat up.
Hey you're alright. No monsters, no abyss.
She calmed down, resting her head on her knees, she glanced around at the unfamiliar place.
Right. Camp.
She decided she needed to clear her head so she got out, quietly heading out the cabin for a walk

valen is awoken by the sound of the door creaking open. he rolls over, watching it close, as the figure disappears. for a moment, he's not really surprised. he was almost expecting leila to leave before he woke up- or as soon as possible, at least.
but a glance down lets him know that her stuff is still tucked beside their shared bunk.
with a groan, he climbs out of the bed and follows her out.
