Fukuzawa + “It looks good on you.”

Fukuzawa loved to give you surprises, always getting you extravagant gifts you couldn’t ever fully express your gratitude for. He was a gentleman, a thoughtful one at that. His gifts always exceeded your expectations, especially this one: a diamond necklace. Attached to the necklace was a note: “To wear to dinner tonight.” You exhaled deeply, mentally preparing outfits, make up looks, and how to eventually return the favor of such an outstanding gift. Typical Fukuzawa, you thought to yourself as you started to get ready for the night.

You fidgeted at the chain around your neck, adjusting it in the mirror as you took in the beauty of the necklace. It was beyond gorgeous. Breath taking. Taking a step back from the mirror, you gave your appearance one last look before going to show Fukuzawa how the dazzling diamond necklace looked on you. As you started to turn around, your movement was cut short by Fukuzawa’s arms wrapping around you at the waist from behind.

“It looks so good on you.” He hummed, kissing you on the head. “You look stunning.” You couldn’t help but melt into his arms at his praise. Despite his gracious gift giving, you thought his love for you was the greatest gift of them all.

Feitan + “I dreamt about you last night.” + pillow talks

The last thing you expected when waking up were Feitan’s eyes laid directly upon you. What time was it? How long had he been staring at you? Never mind all of that. You didn’t mind it; you actually found it kind of cute.

“Good morning, Fei,” you yawned, cracking a smile at him as he blushed. You could tell your sudden waking had caught him off guard by the slight pink appearing on his cheeks. He was hard to read so who knows what he had been thinking the whole time he had been gazing at you.

Propping himself up on the pillow below him, he smirked slightly, “I dreamt about you last night.” The tables had turned quickly as it was now your turn to feel the heat rising in your cheeks, your turn to be caught off guard.

“And what exactly did you dream?” Your smooth response caused his smirk to grow larger. It was clear the fun was just getting started and you were beyond excited to see what it would lead to.

Chuuya + “Can I kiss you?” + the drive home after your first date

As the night was coming to a close, it was clear the butterflies fluttering through your stomach had no intention of dying down. Your first date with Chuuya was a dream come true, the entire night so perfect it felt unreal. He had taken you out to a fancy dinner at an expensive restaurant, treating you to only the tastiest, quality food. You two hit it off well, the conversation never going dry, and only dying down slightly as you both ate your meals.

The memories of the night played on repeat in your head as he drove you home. You hoped he felt the same vibe and connection that you did throughout the night, but the fear of rejection kept you from asking for reassurance. Your thoughts mixing with the music on the radio and the wind blowing through your hair had you distracted. The feeling of Chuuya’s hand on your thigh and his car coming to a halt reeled you back into reality. You looked up at Chuuya, only to realize you were now parked outside of your house.

As Chuuya walked you to your doorstep, you mentally started to plan your goodbye. You were eager to express your feelings, but almost certain that words couldn’t fully explain your gratitude for the amazing night or how you hoped you two could do it again sometime. 

“Thank you for the lovely date, Chuuya.” You smiled, blushing slightly as your eyes met his. Wanting to show some form of affection but scared to make the first move, you pulled him into you for a hug. Chuuya’s arms wrapped around you tighter than you expected but only briefly before he let go, giving you just enough space to look into his grey eyes.

“Can I kiss you?” Chuuya asked bashfully, cupping your face gently with his hand and leaning into you. As soon as you nodded in approval, his soft lips met yours, ending your first date in the best way possible.

Odasaku + 4) “Come here.  Let me fix it.”

“Fuck.” You groaned to yourself as your favorite bracelet clattered to the floor, the chain disconnecting from itself into a couple pieces. It was the bracelet Odasaku gave you when he first asked you out and you had taken it off to clean it. You were too busy frantically trying to piece it back together to hear him calling out to you to ask if you’re okay. When he saw you bent over and teary eyed, he kept some distance, letting you put yourself together a bit before asking anything else.

“Come here. Let me fix it.” Odasaku calmly said, prompting you to walk over to him and hand him your bracelet. He knew how much you cherished the bracelet and he wasn’t going to let it stay broken without attempting to fix it with his best efforts.

After toying around with the bracelet for a few minutes, he was able to fix the chain. He gently grabbed your hand and fastened the bracelet around your wrist, securing it to the perfect spot where it wasn’t too tight or too loose. It fit so perfectly.

“See?” He grinned at you, letting you admire the fixed bracelet before pulling you in for a hug, “It’s alright baby.” The feeling of his lips meeting your head had you melting in his arms, forgetting the anger and distress that had filled you only moments prior. Odasaku’s caring demeanor and sweetness was your weakness; it always brought you so much joy.

“Thank you so much, Oda.” You sighed happily, snuggling deeper into his hug.

Kurapika + “ I was just thinking about you” + stargazing?? 

How many episodes of this mindless TV show had you watched before the sound began to fade into random noise? Were you on your second or third drink? It was hard to keep track of such minute details when your mind was occupied with endless thoughts about Kurapika. You had secretly been hoping he’d show up at any time now. Just yesterday he said he’d be home in a few days, but even that felt like forever ago. Time seemed to stop altogether when he was gone, not ever returning to a normal pace until he came back. As you began to nod off, you became alerted to the sound of your doorknob turning and opened your eyes to the sight of Kurapika slipping in through your door.

“I was just thinking about you,” you yawned, a soft smile taking over your face. Your warm welcome was enough to have Kurapika blushing and rubbing the back of his head as he continued to make his way closer to you. Taking a seat on the armrest of the sofa next to you, he leaned over and planted a kiss on your head.

“I was hoping you’d say something like that. Probably because I was thinking of you too. I couldn’t be gone any longer.” He confessed, making your heart flutter. The way he crafted his thoughts and feelings always kept you hooked on him. Running his fingers through your hair, you both enjoyed a brief moment of silence, merely happy to be in each other's presence. “Are you up for an adventure?” You glanced at the clock. It was 11 PM - definitely not too late for an adventure. You were never too tired when it came to Kurapika.

The drive had been at least half an hour, despite feeling like just a few minutes. You weren’t keeping track; you were too busy catching up with him, trading stories of what happened while you two were apart. You and Kurapika were now up in the mountains, pulled off on the side of the road and about to hike up to his favorite viewing spot. This spot was a special place to you two. A place where you shared a lot of memories in the past, as both friends and lovers. It had the perfect overlook of the entire city, which was now just a bunch of glimmering lights, and best of all, the view of the night sky was immaculate, unaffected by the light pollution that clogged up the city's view.

As you sat next to each other on a flat, stable rock, your everyday worries and anxieties faded. Your body molded so perfectly into Kurapika’s, like you were meant to be there cozied up against him.

“The view at this spot is amazing, but absolutely nothing compares to you.” He whispered, bending over slightly to give you a kiss on the cheek. He then took your hand into his own, rubbing his thumb gently over the top of your hand. For a little bit longer, you and Kurapika blissfully observed the view together, not forcing any conversation, simply appreciating the beauty of everything around you, including each other.

Hisoka + “It reminded me of you.” + breakfast in bed

Weekends were your favorite because they were the days you were most likely to get to spend time with Hisoka. Days with him were the best, even if you did absolutely nothing at all. You were happy to be in his presence, to get his time of day that you always so desperately craved. 

Always looking for new ways to show your appreciation for him and his time, you took it upon yourself today to wake up before him and surprise him with breakfast in bed.

Hisoka had woken up in the midst of you making breakfast and decided to help get everything set up in the bedroom. He had taken the trays and gotten everything ready, inviting you to come into the room when you were ready. You quickly wiped down the kitchen before making your way back into bed, beyond ready to taste the fruits of your labor.

As you were about to take a seat in bed, a small wrapped box sitting on your pillow caught your eye. You were careful to swipe it up before settling into the sheets. As you opened the gift, you pulled out a small keychain in the shape of your favorite flower.

“It reminded me of you.” Hisoka commented in between bites of food. It was a small but thoughtful gesture, definitely something you never expected from Hisoka. You would treasure that keychain forever, even if it was something so simple. You gently placed the keychain on your nightstand before thanking Hisoka and feasting on your delicious breakfast with him.

Hisoka + “Don’t worry about me.” + walking in a forest

Hisoka’s missions kept him away from you for prolonged periods of time, leaving you unaware of when exactly when he’d be back. He surprised you the night before, showing up out of the blue, rambling on about a place he found that reminded him of you. Nature was one of your favorite things and Hisoka knew this. Maybe that’s why this place reminded him of you. As you both strolled through this forest aimlessly, you soaked in the view, admiring the gorgeous trees and flora around you.

Hisoka’s hand seemed to fit perfectly holding yours, fingers intertwined comfortably. You gripped his hand tightly, secretly hoping you’d never have to let go of it again. As your mind started to wander while walking alongside him, you thought of Hisoka finding this place; your heart fluttered at the idea of him being in this forest by himself, occupied by thoughts of you. It was sweet he wanted to take you here and you were more than excited to explore this forest with him, seeking out the treasures and beauty it had to offer.

Neither of you had anticipated being in the forest for hours, so you had packed minimal snacks and water. But time seemed to fly when you were together and the minutes quickly became hours that had passed. Feeling your stomach rumble, you let go of Hisoka’s hand and reached for your bag, pulling out a granola bar and snapped it in half, handing one half to Hisoka.

“Don’t worry about me,” Hisoka grinned, politely declining the snack. You continued through the forest as you started to eat your half of the granola bar. You were going to save half for him whether he wanted it or not. You weren’t going to be responsible for your boyfriend going hungry.

“You know I always worry.” You dryly responded, sighing immediately afterwards. “Eat.” You shoved the snack in his hand once more. This time Hisoka accepted it, but he couldn’t help but laugh at you. He was always poking fun at how caring you were towards him, although secretly that was his favorite thing about you.

Hisoka + “We can share.” + Valentine’s dinner at home

You had thought you’d be spending Valentine’s day alone, seeing as Hisoka had just recently left for an undisclosed reason, not giving you any return date. Because of this, you decided you’d celebrate the day by yourself, using the day for self love purposes and figuring you’d celebrate with Hisoka at a later time.

Intent on making the most of the day, you went to the store to get some self care items like facemasks and a couple ingredients for dinner that night. While shopping, you saw the perfect cake slice that practically had your name written all over it. You quickly shoved it into your cart. It isn’t Valentine’s Day without some sweets right? You laughed to yourself.

After spending the day pampering yourself, you started preparing your meal for the evening. You were used to cooking for two, so you planned to make double the portions for dinner knowing you could eat the rest as leftovers. Everything was perfect, all going according to plan, until HIsoka came barging through the door.

“Just in time for Valentine’s Dinner!” Hisoka cheered, taking a seat at the table which you had only set for one. You burst out in laughter; you should have expected this from him. He was always full of surprises and this should have been predictable.

Without a second thought, you set the other side of the table for yourself and plated two servings of dinner. One for you, one for Hisoka. You two exchanged gushy words and  “I love you’s” before starting on the meal. Only after you had finished dinner did you realize you had only gotten dessert-for-one.

As you got up to get dessert, you took the single serve cake slice out of the container and put it on a plate, placing it before Hisoka. The look on your face revealed your disappointment of not getting to enjoy it yourself, which lead Hisoka to cut the slice in half and hand you his fork.

“We can share,” He gestured, “Thank you for all of this. I know I came short notice. You probably weren’t expecting me. Yet you still went above and beyond for me.” This was a side of Hisoka you rarely saw, but it was the exact reason why you fell in love with him in the first place.
