Celebrations of all forms were always something that Fleur had enjoyed. It brought some kind of life to this town, something more than the typical day to day provided. She hadn’t attended the parade itself despite the fact that she was rather pleased with the float that her bloodline had put together, refusing to backdown away from what had been taken down from it and making sure that everyone else in Ashbourne was well aware that it was not going to be easily forgotten by anyway. Truthfully, she still preferred coming out in the night over all else. It felt right to her. Nothing else did.
“Does anyone actually put any value in these things?” Fortune telling booths. She couldn’t help but scoff at the little show and trinkets put on by it. Anyone with any sense of self-respect should have known that it was nothing more than an utter sham. “Heretics gambling for a prophet. How typical. I wonder if they’ll be brave enough to stay out late.” She would have happy to stick around for a snack.
