People are using “and the world kept spinning” as a way to invalidate issues that are actually issues instead of a way to tell someone that the thing they’re complaining about isn’t a very big problem compared to actual things we need to worry about.

#at first it was funny when it was something that actually didn’t matter like your fav shoes not being in stock #but now it’s to excuse racism and mysoginy and so many other problems that are actually very real #and the world kept spinning #can we stop #just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t mean that it doesn’t matter #yes the world kept spinning but not around you and it never did #internet phrases #it’s like with womp womp #someone might be talking about a time where they were harassed by a man and someone will comment ‘womp womp🤪’#like what?#and what’s with people always taking the side of the person someone’s saying they were targeted by #‘I was bullied by her’ and they’ll say ‘you probably did something to deserve it’#I repeat what?#rant #random post #valewritesss #yes I tagged myself idk why felt like it
