Valorous #5 - A fan fiction series of Alan Ituriel’s Villainous
Valorous, Valyrian Sword of House Staedmon. A blade decorated with more beauty than blood spilled in battle. This weapon was one bought of an arrogant lord instead of a mighty warrior. While it has the potential to be the sword to rival Blackfyre or Ice, Valorous has only seen a single battle. When House Durrandon was at grave peril against a rival King of the Stormlands, the Staedmons road into battle and brought victory to their king.
While one of the earlier swords I drew, I was already getting close to an artist’s block. I asked my friend I worked with at a performing arts theater to give me an idea and she said the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time. If you look, you can see two spots where the Zora’s Sapphire. As for why I didn’t do a theme after the sigil of Staemon, a bleeding heart pierced with a dagger, I felt that it was too brutal of imagery for a sword with too many decorations. The blade used to be wider but it never looked great so I trimmed a few pounds off it.
