Alright, so, if you complete your robot buddy's quest, he gets a halo and learns to resurrect people. Which, sure.
Completed my Dark Elf waifu's quest. Curse in this game prevents you from healing, and prevents you from having any positive. So, the answer is to just - beat the shit out of him. Fuck you cockatrice.
TL;DR finally have my robot buddy and dark elf waifu upgraded to the point I can have them in the party! And you thought it was hard in RWBY to get the team back together again.
I also got Tan, whom is great, except his story is exposition dump, because of where you are when you finally get him.
