tell us why boris is your favorite band (they're mine too)

Boris is a figurehead in experimental metal variants, and variants seems to be their main goal, to expand and experiment with and endless array of genres from the pop influence of the lesser adored Attention Please and New Album to the harsh wall of static and feedback brought with the help of Japanese Noise legend Merzbow that is Rock Dream. Boris is (to me) the pinnacle of experimental metal with no two albums sounding alike, even with re-releasing Heavy Rocks (2007/2011 respectively). As well as collaborating with some of the biggest names in experimental metal to create one of the most heralded and treasured albums of drone doom metal, Sunn O))) & Boris- Altar. They legitimately have an album that everyone can find something they enjoy, from the drone heavy starting albums such as absolugo and amplifier worship, to the recently released and proverbial melting pot that was Noise, Boris has never disappointed me in their variate and execution of mixing these variants to create possibly one of the most varied bands that I’ve ever listened to.
