DAY 34, Fri 18 September

Tonight tropical storm “Vamco” finally reached us. We were at the supermarket, still 1,5 hours earlier it was a normal dry evening when we left home, but the scenery was apocalyptic when we were done with shopping… Someone upstairs had opened the water valves big time, and it was like mayhem. The 6km drive back home was super stressful, the water reaching halfway up the bike wheels. At times it felt like the whole scooter was floating as water level rose ABOVE the bottom plate of the bike. In other words, even though my feet were inside on the “floor” of the scooter, they were soaking as if standing in a pond… Never happened before.

I know for example Pattaya has suffered way more than Hua Hin, but this is the heaviest rain I’ve seen in my life, just had to share it with you! The video is shot right in front of our home, standing on the side of a quite big road.
