I crave the vampire!Agni lore! 🖤

Agni is actually an unintentional vampire; he was sentenced to hang for his crimes (much like in canon) but was cut down too early and though unconscious he wasn't fully dead. Soma happened upon him and being a prince and not at all good at hunting he saw this unconscious nearly dead man as a free meal.

Having little control over himself due to a fairly indulged in upbringing, Soma ends up accidentally turning him. And upon waking up from being 'dead'. Agni proclaims that Soma is a god who has given him a second chance at life.

He becomes Soma's sworn protector in an effort to repay the debt he feels he owes him, in spite of Soma's endless protests otherwise.

By the time canon rolls around Agni has only just stopped aging and is two years into his transformation into a vampire. (A process which takes 50 years in average as the body takes a while to shut down fully).

Despite his youth as far as being a vampire goes he's alarmingly strong and surprisingly self disciplined. A trait he claims comes from his faith in both Soma and Kali.

This does not stop him from being horrifically fierce when it comes down to it, although you would be hard pressed to find a vampire more kindly as he snaps your neck.

The attack on the townhouse for example goes horrifically for the participants as Agni descends upon them like a literal bat from hell.

Agni is the only servant Soma has had that is a full vampire rather than a simple human thrall.

Sorry if this isn't very much. He's still a relatively new character in the AU and I've not got too much on him.
