WIP Wednesday

It's been a very quiet week! No tags yet, so I am kicking things off here.

I am deep in the trenches of my vampire au, and this snippet is a bit NSFW so I am putting it below the cut.

Ilya is starving, and apparently, so is Shane. Ilya waits at Shane’s place per his instructions, and he attacks Ilya the moment he gets in the door. He just got off a five-hour flight, so they get into the shower, where Ilya fucks him standing up right under the spray, then drinks from his neck, still buried inside him.  “We should do this every time, then you don’t have to bleach blood out of those expensive sheets of yours,” Shane comments as he washes the excess blood from his neck. “I like seeing your blood on my sheets. Did you ever wonder why I always buy white?” “Red would be too murdery?” Shane quips, raising his eyebrows. Ilya grins. “I used to buy black sheets, which were good for hiding stains, but not for that moment when a stray droplet blooms out across the clean white. It’s so beautiful.” Shane swallows hard, his pulse rate increasing a fraction. As if he’s just remembered he is in a small, enclosed space with a predator. He almost takes a step backwards, his hand reaching behind him to touch the wall. Ilya looms over him, then leans down to run his nose up Shane’s neck to his pulse point and breathes in deep.  “You are too delicious, so I try not to waste a drop. But I still like to have proof you were in my bed, begging for me to make you come and bleed.” He feels the way Shane shivers before he clears his throat and says, “Come doesn’t stain white sheets.” “No, that shows up better on black. But, you win some…”

WIP Wednesday

Is it almost Thursday? Yes. Are all these tags from a week ago? Also yes. But time is fake and the world might be ending, so let's do this!!

I have been happily tapping away at my vampire au, and have nobody to talk about this fic with even though it's consuming my brain. So I might become insufferable about sharing this at every opportunity. Fair warning.

“You are trying to seduce me, I think,” Ilya murmurs as Shane leans close, his eyes on Ilya’s mouth.  “You invited me up here.” Shane’s eyes flicker to meet Ilya’s, his heart speeding up audibly. It’s amazing it doesn’t come leaping out of Shane’s chest for how it’s pounding now. “I was going to seduce you,” Ilya admits.  Shane’s lips twitch, his hand finding Ilya’s knee and then Ilya’s palm. Their fingers tangle together, and Ilya knows if his heart was still beating, it would skip one at the simple rush that movement provides. He starts to worry, just for a split second, that Shane Hollander is going to ruin him. But as their lips finally meet, he realizes it would be a perfect way to go. Shane’s lips are soft and insistent against Ilya’s, but he kisses with gentle patience. He doesn’t reach to pull Ilya closer or push for more. And yet, the moment Ilya’s mouth opens against him, Shane’s lips are parting, his tongue finding Ilya’s. He tastes like ginger ale and sunshine.

I was going to be silly for April Fool's Day and mess with the names so you couldn't tell if I was sharing a Firstprince or a Hollanov wip. Luckily, common sense won out. 🤭 Here is a snippet of my Vampire!Ilya au.

Over the past week, he has imagined running into Shane at the bar again. Throwing on the charm. Inviting Shane back to his place, which is conveniently only one block away. Peeling Shane’s expensive suit off of him piece by piece. Finding out if he is as muscular as he appears to be underneath the layers. Pressing him into the mattress with Ilya’s hands and mouth, and taking what he wants, and finally satisfying the odd craving that has settled into Ilya’s groin and his teeth since meeting the man. It’s just because he is so beautiful, Ilya reasons. He has never had a type before—Sveta calls him an “equal-opportunity slut,” a label he wears with pride—but if he did have a type, Shane Hollander would be it. Pretty, sweet, earnest, and ripe for the picking. Ilya wants a bite so badly he can taste it.
