So my one last braincell and I were thinking about Regis’ clothes / vampires and their clothes in general. Here are my unorganized thoughts:

Do their clothes regnerate with them? Dettlaff punches quite a hole through Regis but the clothes look like it never happened when we meet Regis again.

Are they vampiric clothes? Does fabric just become part of the vampire?

Are the clothes an illusion so that the humans don’t run away screaming (or run towards them ^^)? Did they, at some point, collectively decide “ok, let’s wear a bit more clothes than the Unseen Elder” after the Conjunction of Spheres?

Is Regis making a choice by looking like he wears his clothes a bit on the shabby side or is that also a sign of him still regenerating? Both?

Do they ever change their clothes? If one wants to blend in, it might not be the greatest idea to wear clothes from 400 years ago.

Anyone out there who’d like to speculate with me? Or has this already been discussed?
