The Garycon fits so far, I'll update for tomorrow
My first Art Fight attack! This was for @mothramm , of their character Michael Horne! I love Vampires and Pirates, and I love a man with luxurious hair, so this ticked just about all my boxes :)
(Edit, tumblr is doing what tumblr does, so go full screen for full detail 💕)
Vampire Fleet Admiral
A vampiric pirate clad in heavy cursed armour, thick pipes of treated leviathan skin connect various pressurised tanks, however rather than containing life sustaining air they hold blood that with the turn of a dial, the squeeze of a pump or the push of a button can dispense a supply of blood for the wearer implying that the suit either cannot be removed or is intended to be worn for extendend periods of time.
I think a comedy about a pirate who contracted vampirism and has absolutely no idea what's going on would be fun to watch

I can feel it.
Something pressing at the back of my mind. I stare out at the dark water, shining in the waning light of dusk. The sky drifts lazily passed in swathes of lavender and orange, violet slowly encroaching from behind me as I take in every ray of the dying sun.
The breeze brings with it the salty spray of the ocean. I step forward to let my toes kiss the gently receding waves. I’m on the precipice of something greater than I have ever known. In this life, at least. I feel it rising, a great swelling wave yearning to crest and crash upon the shore of my consciousness. Once I know the truth, I will be unstoppable. Once I remember what brought me to this place, once I remember where I come from.
Who I am.
I am ready to know. I want to leave behind this agony of uncertainty, this limbo I find myself stranded in every day. I am ready to do whatever it is I set out to do before I found myself here with not a cent to my name. Without a name at all.
‘Tell me,’ I beg silently. ‘Just show me the way and I will follow.’
The swell rolls toward me at full speed, wet sand beneath my feet, salt sticking the pale strands of my hair to my face, sun falling behind the horizon. Going, going...gone.
And just then, as the sky takes on the cool blue tone of night, it is over. The wave inside my mind, which I so painstakingly pushed along with careful focus, recedes with the water at my feet. The knowledge, the reasons, all receding as I stand here helpless to stop it. My heart seizes in my chest. Another failure. No one can stop the tides of the ocean, I remind myself. One cannot hope to catch a wave in her hand. One cannot even hope to follow a wave once it rejoins the water.
I breathe in shakily, release it slowly. All that I am, all that I was, there it goes. Just as the swell of water recedes before the wave can crest, I am going, going...
Gone.
