Started outlining my next project, a sapphic sci fi horror romance w cyborg vampires and a bratty sugar baby x stern milf romance, and ough my god I'm so in love with it...I'm so excited to dive into it (between book revisions😫) in the new year.....

Sooo, I don't really have much to go off yet, I'm not in a position to be writing for them as I'm focusing on Forsaken and WHA, but I do know the gist!

When I first created them they were in the modern USA, but that wasn't working for me, (I struggle with writing modern stories 😅) so I've switched them to the same universe as Forsaken. Whether that's Aenora, or another country for me to worldbuild, is it undecided. But despite taking place in the same world, the stories are entirely separate. Indeed, they may even be at different times - but that would require a LOT of worldbuilding and planning on my part, so we'll see lol

Liana is an elven vampire hunter who has never actually captured or killed a vampire, but is determined to prove herself and earn some recognition. Adelia is a powerful vampire, but she is not the one at the top - she is apart of a clan, with her vengeful sire as the leader. Driven into hiding by... man idk how to describe "humanity" because it's NOT just humans, but you know what I mean. I suppose the vampires might refer to them as... the living? Anyway that's a problem for future me to solve. He is an ancient vampire driven into hiding by hunters, and seeks revenge on all of mortality - humans, elves, dragonkin, you get it.

Adelia is a much younger vampire, only a couple hundred years old compared to her elders thousand+. Not a fledgling, but still a low-rank. She is not permitted to do... well, anything really without the permission of an elder. She certainly is not permitted to keep any sort of pet, blood-bag, or world forgive companion. Indeed, any blood-bag kept alive is done so with the approval of the clan, and low-ranks never get to keep them for themselves; sharing is caring :)

So that's kinda the idea I'm working on. Adelia plays the role of whumper, caretaker and whumpee effectively.

How exactly it all plays out, is a bit up in the air; But I will say there will not be a happy ending. It may not be completely unhappy, either... but there may be character death (not of the two MCs), and there won't be any fluffy recovery arc. So, the story certainly won't be for everyone, but I wanted to try something new.

was so excited to make the world for my "oldest vampire family" wip until i realized i have to make 1500 years worth of history for six people. they're all together for half of it at least so they have lots of overlap and it's urban fantasy with like a our-world-but-fantasy type of thing going on so i got historical events and periods to take inspo from but ughhhh why am i doing this to myself

genevieve ward is starting to lose track of the years. after all, how does one keep track of time when it never seems to actually run out? her mind is littered with the skeletons of the ones she’s loved, the ones she will love in the future. her heart aches with the utmost loss of self that comes with being alive for centuries. she’s seen herself be her best, but more than that, she’s seen herself become a monster that she doesn’t recognize. how does one give meaning to their life when their life can see no end?

summary: 

genevieve ward is a vampire who has drifted up and down the east coast of america for the last two centuries. she’s loved, she’s ached, she’s killed,  she’s hurt more people than she can count on every finger. and she’s growing weary; weary of a life that has robbed her of every stitch of humanity left in her unbreathing body. most of the people she’s loved in her life are dead, and more often than not, she wishes she were as well. 

dylan soto is a thirty year old detective who is relocating to atlanta, georgia to take on a case that threatens to be the worst atlanta has seen. deep in the throes of an existential crisis, nothing can prepare dylan for what she’s going to see in atlanta. but her desire to find meaning in her life outweighs her anxiety. 

genevieve and dylan become intertwined in ways that neither of them are prepared for; the case is a little closer to home than genevieve ever imagined it could be. it doesn’t help that the detective on the case is someone who looks so achingly familiar - she’s seen those eyes before. she’s woken up next to them, she’s peered into them as the very life drained from them. she knows dylan, even though dylan has never seen her a day in her life. 

the sixth life of genevieve ward tells the stories of both genevieve and dylan; genevieve’s story from the moment she was turned into a vampire, and dylan’s story as she solves the murders that have shaken the city of atlanta. but their stories are much more involved with each other than one might think.
