I only noticed the contest 2 days ago - no idea why, but it COMPLETELY slipped through my fingers. And then I thought I'd use it as a little challenge for myself. I'm super perfectionist which leads to me getting hung up on little things in drawings and fixing things to death until I get frustrated and lose motivation - often these are things that others don't even notice. So for this drawing, I set myself the goal of not always correcting things and just leaving things as they are. The shading didn't turn out the way I wanted? No matter, nobody will really notice. I've made a perspective mistake and don't know how to fix it? Screw it - you can always save things drawn with the wrong perspective and make them look right with other tricks! Just do it and if something doesn't look the way you want it to, weigh it up first: Does it really need to be reworked now, or am I possibly the only one or one of the few people who even notices the 'mistake'? Is it acceptable? If so, then cool: Then leave it like that! I'm very good at ruining my own drawings by trying to correct too much. And I think this little fanart drawing has both pushed me out of my comfort zone a bit and made my shading skills stand out - I'm very pleased. I still see things that annoy me and that didn't turn out so well, but in the overall picture, the mistakes just go under and are hardly noticeable - if you don't know them. I didn't get hung up on the little things and managed to create a great drawing with less than 8 hours of work. I hope it's okay for @miwachan2 that I used your eclipse vampire for this purpose. He is a handsome boy and i really like him <3
