The Brood (housemates):
Scott: drama and theatre studies! social butterfly, is well liked but can be mean when he wants to be. Kinda shallow but in a fun way, flattery does get you everywhere with him. Would rather get takeaways than cook.
Owen: History student doing a MA in the Salem witch trials. loner, housemates with the rest of the brood, only other friend is legs. His strengths do not lie in cooking, but he can make a nice pasta when he needs to. Sometimes goes round to Legs' to have a nice meal, which is always appreciated. Hot tempered but tries not to lash out on shelby who is one of the only people he genuinley likes.
Pyro: sociology and world studies student. A bit weird, slightly obsessed with Scott, but overall cool guy. really likes rats. plans to MA in something to do with sewers and the history of sewerage systems. reccomends the strangest films for movie nights, always dresses as a pirate for halloween. HATES water and cannot swim.
Shelby: History student. runs a conspiracy magazine as part of a student society. Well liked, social butterfly, closest friend is drifty. Forces the housemates into group nights/activities much to their distain. Also is a committee member to the creative writing society. famous on tumblr and ao3!
The Militia
Martyn: Law. I have no reason for this other than he gives off this energy. loves partying. hates scott. Shares a house with Sausage and Ren. Cannot cook to save his life, burns pasta, but tries to learn off of the other two. Has all of the TV subscriptions possible, lends the password to his friends when needed.
Sausage: English Literature with Creative Writing! helps shelby with the creative writing society, also loves a good party. Is the best cook in their house, could be a chef in another life. Has written twilight fanficion for years, is still obsessed with the movies and forces them all to watch all 4 (5?) on Halloween.
Ren: Modern Foreign Languages student! besties with the rest of the militia but keeps to himself outside of that - people think hes a bit weird but he's a darling when you get to know him. Kinda superstitious, always keeps garlic in the house, and sleeps with a Swiss Army Knife under his pillow.
Apo: Med student who HATES blood. Has passed out in labs 3 times. Wanted to be an architecture student but parents forced her into doing medicine. Hopes and prays to find a job in the labs. Was housemates with pyro in first year but they fell out, now has a studio apartment near the militias house and spends lots of time with them. Long distance with their girlfriend Cherri.
The Town:
Drifty: Forensic Psychology. Housed with Avid, they get along pretty well but she spends most of her time with Shelby. Runs a murder mystery event every month as part of the criminology society.
Avid: biochemistry. only friends are Drift and Shelby, but he has a small obsession with Scott, which the other two find slightly weird but kind of endearing. Hates partying and large crowds.
Legs: Medicine student final year. sick to death of everyone. Lives in a studio apartment, occasionally visited by owen. Refuses to go to Owen's because he Hates Scott. Good friends with Abolish as well, swore off alcohol years ago. Really enjoys cooking, and cooking for other people!
Abolish: Psychology. Mainly keeps to himself, but enjoys the company of Legs. Also has a studio apartment in the same block as Legs, rarely parties. Black belt in karate.
Cleo: Biosciences. Loves botany and plants, pushes through the human bits of the course. Very strong willed, people are intimidated by them but they're a big softie when you get to know them. Housemates with Pearl, gets invited to parties with her but mainly sticks by her side. they own a cat, unbeknownst to their landlord.
Pearl: investigative journalism. Is a part of the debate society, and the moot court in the Law department. Very strong willed and opinionated, loves discussing politics and morals. Also loves parties, quite a social person but also enjoys the quiet nights in the company of her housemate and their cat. really good friends with the militia, as well as drift and shelby. Refuses to go anywhere if Cleo isn't also invited (even if they dont want to go).
