anyone know why terrain generates more obvious differences between chunks in snowy biomes, especially in Bedrock?

This screenshot from 2023 is cool. I better not have lost the seed.

[ID: a zombie piglin child with a gold sword riding a yellow chicken. /End ID]
Alsooooo finished the custom tree next to our house. I love custom trees, time consume as hell but always pay off. And a progress pic of the lilac field area. I will be adding some more custom aspens around another hot spring.
Made a little hot spring in a nook within the giant lilac field I just finished. Then it started snowing and I HAD to take some pictures. Also bonus picture after the snow :))))

Frogbog used to be a simple, player-run shopping/community district on a now inactive Minecraft server started sometime around Jan-Feb 2021. Today, Frogbog is not only a shopping district, but also its own server entirely.
Frogbog the server was created in the summer of 2025, made up of a small handful of players who had previously played on the original server. The original server had roughly 200 members, and fluctuated in activity throughout its existence. The current Frogbog server has roughly 40 members, many of whom are currently inactive due to a myriad of reasons. It sometimes feel like a bit of a ghost town, rarely reaching more than three people online at one time.
Frogbog is a whitelist-only vanilla server with a few client side plugins (player/mob head drops, for example). Mob griefing is on, keep inventory is on, and the game is on hard mode.
I’ve been a part of the Frogbog community since February of 2021, joining shortly after the original server had been created. I’ve had a lot of good times on both servers, and am hoping to continue to do so on Frogbog.
My gaming sessions on the server have started to feel a bit poetic lately. I don’t know if it’s the relatively solitary nature of the server, or the nostalgia for a time when more people were active, or something else. I think it’s a combination of these things, and maybe more.
Frogbog has been my main creative outlet for many months now, and I’ve started taking a lot of photos of the server recently, because I know I’ll cherish the photos one day if/when the server changes. However, I also have recently realized that I can share my frogbog photography here, instead of just sharing in the discord. In all honesty, I’m hoping that sharing photos of my minecraft playing experience will help me reach other dedicated and/or experienced players to talk about Minecraft with.
All this to say, welcome to frogbog-official. in bog we craft, in bog we mine, in bog eternal may frogbog shine.
