New generated structures?
Does anyone know if Minecraft Live added new world generation structures? I was playing my hardcore world and when I updated this new nether portal? like structure appeared. It is really ugly and I dont know why they would add this to vanilla but its ruining my cozy cottage core asthetic. Any advice to remove? its really an eyesore and ruined my mountain scape!
I think it was supposed to be a jungle biome thing? I dont have any jungle planks or wood on me and no yellow dye so its really out of place
a generation divide
I know that they were a mistake and why they're now gone, but i personally think that a part of minecraft's fantasy aesthetic has been removed when in caves&cliffs the world generation algorithm was changed and now those random floating islands that minecraft used to have no longer generate anywhere near as often.
I've been testing the star system generation in my TTRPG Metanoia Engine recently and have been able to make whole detailed star systems in under like 30 minutes.
If you need to tables to generate star systems for whatever reason, here:

(Please note this section is a heavy WIP and is just playtest material!!)
On my new bedrock survival world and the world generation so far has been interesting to say the least

Minecraft Has Become Overwhelming
this is just a random post for me to ramble on but it is what it says on the tin. Minecraft has become overwhelming. And I don't mean because of the items or blocks or whatever. A lot of people will complain about those already but I don't really care about those. To me, the world gen is an issue. Minecrafts world generation used to be a lot more silly and dare I say, whimsical even. It felt special to me I guess. Wide open fields were a lot less common and the world in a way, just felt alive. My biggest issue however, is the new cave systems. I just really really really dislike how new caves feel. Yes it's cool but it's also overwhelming. There's too much to explore and not to mention, when you walk into a big dark cave that hasn't ever been lit up, you're going to get swamped by mobs which just really kinda takes away from it. How am I supposed to explore this area without dying several times in the process to get the ores I need to die less and less. It feels like a battle of attrition. I liked when caves were smaller and winding than just a big open space with a bunch of little offshoots. I dunno. It's just my own personal pet peeve I guess. I wish I could find a mod that allows older world gen in the current version of Minecraft because I do like the new biomes and blocks a lot.
hey hi everyone needs to see this right now (it is 40 minutes if you skip the qna part)
