@saint-motherfucking-nicholas alerted me to the existence of an archive of vaniterra’s work, including A Real Surprise, which was one of my and many others’ favorite ChellDOS fics back in the day
it says there are 17 chapters, but only 16 are accessible and I think I do remember the story leaving off on a different part. but!!! this is way more than we’ve had since vaniterra and all her work vanished off the internet without warning or explanation a few years ago. I’ve saved all her portal fics in case this link goes dead and I’m looking forward to rereading!
no disrespect is meant to vaniterra’s wishes if she deliberately removed her work with the intention of making it unavailable to read, and I’ll delete this post if she ever comes back and expresses that she wants it deleted
