It's a bird...it's a plane...no it's musical shenanigans - Vardir Edition!
Hello muffins, welcome to another musical mess post, I'm your host Nemo and I'm delighted to have you here, I truly have all the time to write music so that's why I've been making a lot of musical shenanigans posts lately but y'all have tolerated me so far so here we go! 😌
Also the fact that I'm a mess and 100% chaotic yet play ✨classical guitar✨ of all instruments still baffles me, like talk about polar opposites 😌
Before I get sidetracked again, if y'all wanna check out previous musical shenanigans posts then here you go :3
And if you don't know what Vardir is then, I truly don't know what to tell you 😔 (/j) GO CHECK IT OUT RN :3
Anyways here we go :3
Bassi Vikgadebur:
So bassi, the capo is on second or third fret, and first so all me and Bassi are nearly the same height, so yeah that's that 😌, so I played an (Am - F - C - G) progression which I repeat for 3 times then change the (G to my favorite chord of all time as I mentioned before the E7 chord), so despite having a minor chord I picked this progression because It's upbeat and familiar, two thing that represent Bassi:
Vígríðr Sturluson:
So so, for Vígríðr I still have the capo is on second or third fret, and I'm playing a melody that goes up at first, then down at the end, with slides between every chord change, I really wanna say that ✨I won't mention the chord names because Vígríðr is a mysterious and quiet character I'm a genius thank you very much✨ but truth be told, ✨I don't know the names of the chords I'm playing✨ but hey, that still adds a layer of mysteriousness to it 😌:
Sylvi Sturludóttir:
Last but defiantly not least, for Sylvi the capo is also on second or third fret, and this recording in particular is exciting because I used harmonics on the 12th fret at the beginning and end, I don't know why but in my head they worked for Sylvi, and the chord progression that I also ✨don't know the name of✨ (you can tell by my lack of knowledge that I'm a self taught guitarist but that doesn't matter, hey if it sounds good then it's good 😌) is a mix between cheerful and bold, to show the balance in Sylvi life between fun and seriousness if that makes sense:
And yeah that's that for this musical shenanigans post, as I always like to say in my musical mess posts @vardir I hope I didn't butcher the amazing characters you created and I hope you like it :3, and I hope all of you muffins enjoyed it and yeah :3
