Squalo still kind of helps keep Xanxus in line. He's a constant emotional support for him and the rest of the former Varia. He trains a lot of the Vongola since he's known for his skills that were second only to Yamamoto. Because of advanced technology, his left hand is now a robokinetic structure attached to his nerves, muscles ect. and moves and looks like a natural hand. He still uses his sword strapped to his wrist, though. He has a large nasty scar where Jager stabbed him through the heart and where he had heart transplant surgery
Xanxus (oh man i have so much on Xanxus). He's kind of a really major character in the main storyline, actually. Most of the interaction between Tsuruhime happens with Xanxus who is posing as her birth father. He really does seem like he's running the Vongola Family when, in fact, he's kind of under orders too. His wrath towards Tsuna has calmed down significantly. Tsuna was the one who convinced Kyuudaime to put Xanxus into the position he is in now. Xanxus thinks that the way he got to be the Vongola 'Boss' was cheap and wasn't what he wanted so he tends to sulk a lot because of that.
NOW due to the fact that Mammon died/turned into one of the Vindice soon after the changing of the Arcobaleno, his illusional organs that were put in Squalo, Byakuran, Dino and even Hibari's bodies dissipated. Being caught off guard, Chrome tried to bring them back to the best of her ability. It was a lot of chaos as they began to deteriorate really quickly. Seeing the issue at hand and seeing that Squalo was the worst off of them all, Xanxus ordered everyone to get them to a hospital as soon as possible telling them to 'forget about his damn arm and just get these pieces of shit some damn help!'. They weren't able to save and reattach his arm. That doesn't mean he doesn't have one though . . .
Yamamoto, after telling his father about the mafia and the Arcobaleno, is asked by Squalo to take his position as the Rain Guardian of the Varia. He's there for years until Tsuna calls him on another mission: to be Tsuruhime's 'home tutor' much like Reborn was Tsuna's. Yamamoto is responsible for training Tsuruhime in a few basic things including teaching her about the Vongola and her family inheritance.
Gokudera went to Bianchi after the incident and can usually be found with her. He's always stuck close to Tsuna's location still claiming that he's Juudaime's right hand man now and forever no matter what happens to him. As Lambo grew up and began to understand what had happened to his friends and surogate family, Gokudera was the one to take him under his wing and train him to the standard he is at now. He's usually inventing new contraptions and combinations of flames to put into Box Weapons as well as producing weapons for the Vongola to use.
