I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but why is Time's left eye red? Any symbolism I missed?
ok so! in case some of you didn’t know, Time canonly appears in Twilight Princess as Twilight’s mentor: the Hero’s Shade/the Golden Wolf
as you can see he has a singular red eye in his ghost form, so i wanted to pay tribute to that in the AU. as far as /my/ canon goes though, he got it from some sort of curse.. of which i haven’t figured out yet. but that’s the reason no matter the age he appears in the spirit AU, he always has the red eye.
Oh geez. This latest transformation looks like it hurts. Poor Sonic…
sure does! :’)
If requests for scenarios are still open, how about werewolf!aizawa with a female reader? He's been with her for a few years and has been hiding his secret to protect her but one night he somehow forgets about the full moon and changes in front of her. He still has control of his mind enough to speak but can still lose himself to his inner beast. He asks her to leave him to try and protect her but she stays because she loves him and wants to help him through his pain. He still is a cat lover btw
Hey, Vaseshipghost! Thank you so much for being patient with me! I hope that you enjoy this response as much as I enjoyed writing it. ^^ It was so much fun and different from what I feel like I “normally” write at this point! So thank you for requesting it! I’m excited to work on your next request down the road as I get through my inbox!
Reader: Female, but coincidentally gender neutral
Scenario: You and Aizawa are celebrating your anniversary when he loses track of time and ends up transforming into a werewolf, revealing one of his deepest secrets to you.
Word Count: 2653
“Darling… Darling, wake up,” you cooed as you lightly shook Aizawa’s shoulder. The man fell asleep before the movie ended at the theater, exhausted to the point where even the loudest cinematics weren’t enough to keep him awake. Fortunately for the both of you, he was a quiet sleeper and leaned towards you, making it look like you were cuddling, and letting you enjoy the movie to completion. While most people would be upset that their partner fell asleep on them, you didn’t mind. You were always painfully aware of just how busy he was and wished that he would take some time to himself like a healthy individual would. Then again, “healthy” wasn’t necessarily a word you’d associate with your long term lover.
He groaned softly, rolling his head away from you with slow blinks until he was awake. “Egh… I did it again, didn’t I? I’m sorry, (Y/N).”
The theater was just about empty, the employees coming in to clean it for the next showing. You turned slightly in your seat, paying no mind to the movie workers as you gently brushed his messy bangs to the side. Stubbornly, the hair fell back into place, and you giggled, smiling sweetly.
“It’s alright, Shouta. I know how much you push yourself with work,” you reassured him, standing up and offering your hand.
“I should still be more present for you on our anniversary though,” he argued gently, taking your hand and kissing your knuckles before standing and guiding you out to the car. While you spent no energy in guilting him, you could see where he was coming from. No matter how understanding you were, he was falling short of his own standard and expectation, and that wasn’t something you could change.
“Hey, Shooouuta?~” you asked as he drove you back to your place.
“Hm?”
“I have an idea on how you could make things up to me.~” Your words came with a playful, sing-songy voice as you grinned at him.
“Oh?” He glanced over to you before returning his attention to the road. “And how’s that, my love?” His tone was just as playful, only making you smile more.
“Take us to the kitty café before dropping me off!” Your smile grew hopeful and even wider.
From the corner of his eye, Aizawa could see how excited and hopeful you were. How could he possibly turn down your request? He loved the cat café, and he loved you even more- so if stopping by Mocha Meow was how you wanted him to make up falling asleep on your anniversary date, he would more than happily oblige.
Originally, he intended to only stay for half an hour- enough time to enjoy your drinks and pet some cats. Any other night, he wouldn’t have been so mindful of the time, but tonight was that time of his moon cycle. What he didn’t expect was to get so lost and caught up in your energy- in your love and all the reasons he fell for you in the first place- that he completely forgot about time altogether. Half an hour turned into an hour as enjoying your drinks turned into finishing them, and he was finally fully awake and present with you.
An hour before Mocha Meow closed, one of the employees and shelter workers approached you two. By now, you were both lying on the ground, a cat sleeping on each of your chests as the others played or napped. The employee sat down and joined in, a cat crawling into her lap while you slowly sat up despite the feline protests.
“Please, you don’t need to sit up,” she smiled at you both as she stroked the cat in her lap. “I’ve noticed you two in here quite a bit. Have you ever considered adopting from us?” At her question, you exchanged a glance with your partner. It wasn’t something you two actually talked about, but it was obvious the want to adopt was there. When you two didn’t answer, she chuckled softly. “We normally aren’t so forward about adoption here, since the cats have a good life- but nothing is quite as good as having a forever home. With Meowcifer and Sir Purrcival, it’s… Well, it’s almost a special case.”
“How so?” you asked, stroking Sir Purrcival’s white fur. According to his info sheet, he was believed to be a persian maine coon mix. He was so big, with him sleeping on you, he covered your stomach and chest.
“I’m sure you’ve noticed on their sheets that Sir Purrcival and Meowcifer are a bonded pair. They’re exceptionally tricky because we haven’t seen them both take a liking to anyone who’s been interested in them,” she paused, looking from the white fluff ball to the sleek, black bombay laying on Aizawa’s chest, “…except for you two. We haven’t been able to adopt them out because one cat or the other has always been extremely adverse to the family or person.” Her suggestion was clear as day. Once again, you and Aizawa exchanged glances.
“There’s no pressure by any means, and you’ll always be welcome at Mocha Meow,” the woman followed up with a sincere smile. “But would you please consider it?” You both nodded, watching as she stood up, the cat in her lap cradled in her arms as she returned to work.
Left alone, you two look at each other and the cats on your chests. There must have been some truth to her claim, considering they have been at the café since you two started visiting almost six months ago. For a while, you two were silent, until you sighed.
“Shouta…” Your voice coupled with the way you looked up at him was all he needed to know what you wanted.
“(Y/N), we haven’t even talked about it.”
“Do we really need to? I know you take care of the strays around your place and mine. They keep coming to my door and I’ve found the cans of food.” You smirked at his surprised expression, your lover formerly unaware that you knew. It wasn’t a secret, but it wasn’t something that came up either.
While it didn’t take too much to persuade him, you still had to work a little bit to reach an agreement. At the end, you two decided that it would be best for the cats to stay at your place since he was so busy. A bright smile and delighted squeal announced to the café what conclusion was made, and no time was wasted in filling out the adoption forms and paying the fees, everything going smoothly for the two cats to come home with you that night. At the end of the hour, you two were back in the car, the stubborn cats refusing carriers so you both had to carry them out in your arms and then let them figure out a way to lay on your lap.
Instead of taking you straight home like he should have, Aizawa stopped at his place to pick up some things since he was actually more prepared for having cats than you were, despite never taking the step forward to adopt. Meowcifer laid across his shoulders as you carried Sir Purrcival inside to help him with some of the cat necessities. As he stepped inside, he glanced at the time on the kitchen stove, eyes widening. Fortunately for him, you couldn’t see his expression from behind, only seeing him reach for Meowcifer to put him down.
“(Y/N), I’m suddenly not feeling too great,” he half shouted at you as he booked it to his bathroom. You stared after him, brows knitted in confusion, looking at Meowcifer and placing Sir Purrcival down as well. This behavior was something you’d never seen from him- even when he didn’t feel well, he wasn’t the kind to just run and hide in a bathroom.
“Shouta?” As you came up to the door, you placed your ear against it before knocking. “Shouta, are you okay?”
“Yeah,” he growled. It was almost like a roar, startling you and making you jolt back from the door. You heard him clear his throat, and it sounded like he was struggling to control his voice. “I’m fine. You should take the cats and car. I’ll be better tomorrow.”
For a moment, you stared at the bathroom. You could see his shadow along the ground and stood there, frozen for a moment. The cats approached you, gently brushing against your legs as if encouraging you forward. With silent steps, you crept closer and placed your ear against the door, trying pick up on any sort of clue that could help you make sense of everything. Muffled, the sound of his panting barely reached you, making your heart tighten. Aizawa never breathed that heavily, not even after an intense round in bed. Once you heard the sound of cloth tearing, your concern skyrocketed.
“Sh-Shouta?!” Without even thinking about it, you tried to open the door, pushing hard on it but with no luck. “Shouta, what’s wrong? What’s happening?!”
“(Y/N), I told you to leave!” Again his voice was so… different. After years together, you’ve heard his voice in every pitch and tone it could take, yet this was new to you.
“N-no!” you yelled back, still trying the door. “What’s wrong? Please, let me help you!”
With a harsh and destructive crack, the door you were pushing on slammed open, making you fall onto your hands and knees. It was hurled open so fiercely that it splintered and cracked, coming off the hinges and completely broken beyond repair. Horrified, you froze, hearing the heavy breathing that wasn’t like him, and the cats beginning to hiss and yowl. You body trembled as you saw and recognized the torn clothes on the ground before registering the beast in front of you. When you looked up, your eyes widened, the face of a werewolf glowering at you with petrifying red eyes that glowed just like your lover’s. As you stared, you realized it was his wearing pants and had the smallest bald spot under its right eye.
Slowly you crawled backwards out of the bathroom, eyes glued to the monster before you. You ended up turning so that the way you crawled was easier to manage, your legs in front of you instead of behind, and allowing you to stare up at the fanged face with an unforgiving glare.
“You can’t help me,” he snarled. “Take the cats and keys and go.”
Seconds passed, but you were still frozen.
“Stop staring and go!” he roared at you in a frightening display, stark white fangs bared at you, his snout menacingly scrunched in a snarl.
“No!” you shouted back, your voice surprising both of you as you finally found your courage. “No.” The world was repeated with firm conviction.
“I SAID GO!” He punched the wall beside him before drawing his hand back, claws digging into the plaster and carving out five deep gashes.
“And I said ‘no’! No, Shouta!” Despite your whole body shaking from his violent temper, you were determined. You slowly pushed yourself up, sliding along the wall and using it to support yourself as you stared at him.
“Do you not get it?! Do you seriously not understand?! I’m trying to protect you!” Aizawa snarled into your face, his fists slamming on both sides of your head and leaving craters in the wall beneath them. Even though he was telling you to leave, his body trapped you as if you were his prey. In his eyes, you could see how desperately he was holding back and fighting to keep from losing control of himself entirely.
“Then let us stay!” you demanded, staring into those glowing red eyes.
“WHAT?!” he roared, “that’d be endangering you both! I can’t risk-” his words were cut off by a frustrated growl. “Damn it, (Y/N), I love you too much. Don’t ask me for this.”
“And I love you too much-”
“Then don’t argue with me! Now is not the time for it!”
“Then you stop arguing with me! I’m not going! We’re not leaving you, Shouta!” you cried out, your hands coming up to his fur coated face without a second though. He clenched his teeth, resisting the urge to snap at you for moving so suddenly and daring to touch him like this. “I’m not going to spend my life with someone I have to abandon at least once a month! I’m not! And it’s awful and cruel and selfish of you to even think that’s okay!”
“I’m a fucking werewolf, (Y/N)! If I hurt you-”
“You’re not going to hurt me!”
“YOU DON’T KNOW THAT!”
“YES, I DO! I know you, Shouta! And I know you’re stubborn and feel like you have to deal with this alone, and I know you have the best intentions, but if we can’t work through this, we can’t work through the rest of our lives together!” The words spilled out of you as you began to cry, holding onto the creature you still recognized as your lover while silence fell. You shoulders shook and trembled as you bowed your head, leaning forward into the werewolf, no longer petrified of him, but of what life would be like without him. Tears cascaded down your cheeks as you sobbed, your hands slipping from his face to his shoulders.
“… I still want a life with you, Shouta,” you weeped. “All of you. …Werewolf, and all.”
After what felt like the longest pause, you heard him somehow manage a sigh. He pulled back from you, pieces of the wall falling to the ground as his fists lowered. The cats stopped hissing at him, though their tails remained bristled, coming to your side as he backed away. It was amazing how spot on the volunteer was about how these two cats were already attached to you. Your heartbeat finally slowed down, letting your breathing calm as you began to really register everything. You were dating a werewolf. On top of that, you just decided to essentially stay the night with said werewolf with the two cats you just adopted.
With a deep breath, you slid back down the wall, sitting against it and petting the cats on either side of you. After a few reassuring strokes, and with Aizawa standing back, their tails returned to normal and they were less on edge. You picked Sir Purrcival up and placed him around your shoulder, taking Meowcifer up next and holding him to your chest. Slowly and cautiously, with your eyes focused on his red stare that was equally glued to you, you walked up to him. Despite feeling the cats tense up, you continued, building confidence between everyone in the room. The cats stayed with you and Aizawa didn’t move as you came to him.
When you stopped, there was a small moment where everything seemed to freeze, but you broke it by lifting Meowcifer up and encouraging the cat onto his shoulders. At first, there was a bit of resistance, which was entirely understandable and expected. But as you continued to introduce the cats to werewolf Aizawa, they began to catch on to his scent and register in their minds that the monster and man were one. Meowcifer hesitantly stepped onto his broad shoulders, freezing up at the inquisitive growl he made in surprise. Their eyes met and slowly, the black cat sat down, his tail beginning to sway after a few moments of safety. As calmly and gradually as he could for being a werewolf, Aizawa brought his claw up to the cat and let it sniff him. He kept his hand up for Meowcifer, and to his surprise, received a sweet and gentle headbutt into his palm.
“We’re going to need to set a lot ground rules…” he finally caved.
I don't have any requests. Just here to give you a Happy Fanfic Author Appreciation Day! ^^ thank you for giving us such well written fics!
Aaah, thank you so much for thinking about me, I appreciate it ♥
You know what kind of beast I've never seen in a beauty and the beast story? One with elements of a rabbit in them. I've seen fan art of how to make a rabbit terrifying yet also identifiably sympathetic, but I've not yet read a version of beauty and the beast with a bunny beast. What's your thought on a beast whose main basis is a bunny?
I suspect the reason we don’t see it is because we have a lot of preconceived notions of what a rabbit is and symbolises. The general idea of The Beast is to make him either threatening, unappealing, or uncanny, usually using various types of animal as shorthand for those traits. Our cultural idea of what a rabbit is doesn’t encompass any of those things, so it’s less of a go-to.
Does that mean don’t use a rabbit? Heck no! It just means you might have to work much harder to achieve an air of menace (if that’s what you want) or that you may have to come from a different angle, such as making your beast too cute and animal-like to be seen as a suitor, rather than too scary and inhuman.
Honestly, I think it can be done, it will just require a lot more work on your part to overcome our notions of what a rabbit is and means!
Is it wrong for me to say that I find Time with long silver grey hair and still a bit of untouched blonde mixed in very sexy? Cause honest to G, he looks very cool when he takes off his helmet after getting back his flesh and appearance following Twilight's death and meeting with Sky. By the way, was him getting his appearance back symbolic of something?
oh no, he’s very handsome like that, i agree 6c6 it just meant that he was remembering that he hasn’t been an undead warrior for his entire existence. he didn’t start and end purely to be Twilight’s guide, he’s just been holding on to his “duty.” but now he can let that go a little :’)
You keep telling us that Sonic and Shdow are a brOTP, but this latest page of the comic has me convinced you may be unintentionally fueling the Sonadow OTP people's expectations. Also, did Sonic's stomach cause that rumble that spooked Shadow?
who cares about “brotp” and “otp” this isnt a ship comic its an adventure comic and im not leading anyone on im just doing my job as a writer aksjfhsakjfhaskj
also i love yall saying big wolf sonic hungry but what if that was chips stomach?
