Kihwan has two questions for everyone!
LOSS / ups and downs.
one. tell me about the lowest point in your life, when you felt the greatest pain and didn’t know how to move on, if you could move on. how did you make it through?
two. tell me about the highest point in your life, the moment of glory, when you felt like this was the ultimate moment you strived for, and you simply couldn’t be any happier. do you feel sad that it’s gone?

1| HOW WELL DID YOU KNOW GO JEON? WHERE WERE YOU THE DAY HE DIED?
I never knew him personally. I have heard of him a lot. A lot. So, it almost felt like I knew him, but I didn’t really know him. I think you can only really know a person if you actually talk to them in private, and I never did. And... The day he died? I’m not sure... I can’t really remember. Must have been doing something mundane.
2| WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE NOCTIS CLAN AND HOW DO YOU RELATE TO THEM? HOW WOULD THE GAME CHANGE IF HE DID HAVE DESCENDANTS WALKING AROUND SEOUL?
My thoughts? I think they’re probably up to something shady. But I don’t really know about that. I personally haven’t seen the bad side. Let’s just say that it was more a problem on a personal kind of level, not directly having anything to do with the clan itself. And a descendant? How? I am pretty sure Go Jeon’s wife was never pregnant.
CHOI KIHWAN ♥ WANTS TO KNOW :
ONE: TELL ME ABOUT THE LOWEST POINT IN YOUR LIFE, WHEN YOU FELT THE GREATEST PAIN AND DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO MOVE ON, IF YOU COULD MOVE ON. HOW DID YOU MAKE IT THROUGH?
She blinks for a moment, looking up at a random direction while thinking about the first question. Did she have a point in her life where she felt like she couldn’t move on? Did she ever felt so much pain she thought about giving up and not caring about anything else other than ending her pain? Well, if the answer to those questions is yes, Ahreum can’t seem to recall. She can’t remember anything that was so traumatic and painful to the point of destroying her like that.
Ahreum has never lost someone she loved, she has never been hurt enough to the point of thinking about putting an end to everything, she has never felt so disappointed to the point of cutting someone off her life. She has never faced true sadness before.
“I can’t think of anything, right now...”
TWO: TELL ME ABOUT THE HIGHEST POINT IN YOUR LIFE, THE MOMENT OF GLORY, WHEN YOU FELT LIKE THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE MOMENT YOU STRIVED FOR, AND YOU SIMPLY COULDN’T BE ANY HAPPIER. DO YOU FEEL SAD THAT IT’S GONE?
A bright smile forms on her red lips after the second question, her eyes almost disappear into a small crescent as she giggles at the thought of all the things that have brought her happiness and glory: the many times she played in big orchestras in France, the many times she got to meet authors of novels and poems which she loved, the many times she visited beautiful places such as alps and beaches... If there is one thing Ahreum has done in her life before the Noctis Clan, it was that she enjoyed her youth.
But not all of her good memories are from the past, from centuries ago, for the present also gifts her with wonderful memories: the friends she’s made, the relationships she has built in all these years --- and him, of course.
“You know, I could sit here and talk about my happy and glorious moments for a whole month... But if I have to choose only one moment, I’m going to talk about what’s making me the happiest at the moment.” If any possible, her smile only grows wider and brighter. “And that is spending time with Kihwan. Call me cheesy or whatever, but I am honest when I say that he is the one person that brings me the most happiness! After so many years working for the Clan and doing what I have to do, life sometimes gets quite gloomy and dark... But he manages to bring light back every time I think about him.”
“And no, I don’t feel sad that most of my moments of glory are gone. The memories of them make me feel as happy as I was back then, and I know I’m going to have so many other moments of happiness in the future. Why would I be sad?”
JAE JINAH WANTS TO KNOW :
HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF YOU SUSPECTED SOMEONE WAS LOOKING SECRETLY INTO YOUR PAST? WOULD YOU BE CONCERNED? ANXIOUS? UNCARING?
Ahreum frowns at the question, and she can't help the slight discomfort that the question brings to her mind: she doesn’t like the idea of someone digging into her past, which isn’t exactly an easy task once she has been in this world for over five centuries. She’s a discreet person, she has always been a discreet person and everything she’s ever done for the Clan was very well concealed, carefully hidden away from the public eye, it was something between her and her community of fellow vampires only. After a moment of silence, she blinks and straightens her posture, bringing back the tough attitude which she’s known for.
“Bothered, but not worried. No matter how much you look, you won’t find anything compromising. After hundreds of years of experience, I’ve learned how to go unnoticed. Try it.”
“ how would you react if you suspected someone was looking secretly into your past? would you be concerned ? anxious ? uncaring ? ”
if anything, kihwan resents the idea, his eyebrows furrow, anger threatening to bubble to the surface at the question. the idea of someone daring to dig up more about him can never mean anything good — as someone who does background checks and investigates criminals’ ( and citizens’ ) pasts for years now, being on the other side of the equation doesn’t bode well with the chief. it’s less to do with the fact of hiding his past, but more to do with his sense of privacy, his roots. he doesn’t want people to know about his family, his dad — his mother. the tragedy. the pity. he doesn’t want people to know the paths he had taken, time he spent being someone else, trying to find what he wanted in life. it’s all private, not for other people to dig — let alone a stranger with ulterior motives.
“you shouldn’t dare... for your own good.” he lets out, no room for argument, words laden with authority. if he caught wind of anyone doing so, he would respond in kind, and more, much more. there is too much in balance for him to ignore such things, too many responsibilities and too heavy a weight on his shoulders to let people snoop around unwarranted. “considering i have access to an entire cyber division, i would strongly advise against it. there are some stones that should be better left unturned. believe me...” a pause, lips pursed, eyes set, unrelenting, he utters his last words with finality. “you wouldn’t want to make an enemy out of me.”
how would you react if you suspected someone was looking secretly into your past? would you be concerned? anxious? uncaring?
Exhaustion weighs heavy on the male’s shoulders, a wary sort of exhaustion that is visible not just in the slump of his shoulders and in the lax expression on his features, but in the way his hands shake, ever so slightly, as they lift to card through his hair. He’s exhausted. Physically, emotionally. Drained. Tired.
He’s not doing a very good job of controlling his responses, of playing at detached and unobtainable. Normally he’s better at it. Normally he excels at it, at being gorgeous and untouchable and appearing beyond the cares of others. It’s part of why he’s so popular, his ability to be mysterious and aloof. But if there’s any one way to break through Iseul’s defenses, it’s to remind him that once upon a time, before Shin Iseul, before his life now, he was Kim Jaeseok -- a son and a brother.
“I would ask them not to.” Iseul glances up, lips compressing into a thin line of hurt. “There’s nothing in my past that I won’t tell them...if they only ask me. There’s no reason to dig into my history when they could just ask me what they want to know.” Hurt. He’d be hurt. That much is obvious. There’s distress, too, and grief. But then again, with the history he hides, and the bodies he left in it, anyone would be bothered.
"Sometimes what’s in the past should stay in the past, and what’s buried should stay buried. And when things die, they should stay dead.” And Izzy, his precious baby sister, should stay buried in his past, safe and secure in his memory. But he would answer anything else -- everything else -- if only they asked the right question.
