The stage lights casted him in a wash of reds as his fingers cascaded over the strings of his bass. Strumming a rhythm of chords to try and elevate the fact that they were playing with half the band and stuck performing cover songs by request. But it was a holiday and short notice, so the pay was tempting enough. Their singer was enjoying the holiday with his family and no one could fault him for that. It did lead to the guitarist trying his best but the crowd was too lost in the energy and didn't notice the voice cracks over their own singing along.
His gaze looked up from his fretboard, peering through his unstyled fringe to land on Valkyrie in her usual spot at the back of the bar. He should stop being surprised by her showing up by now but there was a part of him that hoped she would eventually find something better to do, someone better to see. She made him better by being around and he didn't deserve that. Not that it stopped him from enjoying it.
Lips curling into a satisfied smirk, he leaned into his mic once their current song faded out, "stop hogging the spotlight and let me sing one."
The entire event was somewhat of an adventure to the elf to say the least. He found himself lingering in the background as Alucard mingled with the other chaebols, what usually was his time to shine, being the more social out of couple he was more often than not, pushed to the back of the conversation, not that he minded. He’d grown accustomed of being the vampire’s pretty arm candy, and in moments like this he was able to take in the room, take in the faces that filtered in and out of his store.
He’d pop into a conversation with an idol or rich socialite that he could see in a piece of his, flicker through photos of his phone so that they could gush over his designs and throw their contact his way. They’d text him for a piece or so for the next event and it’d fizzle out all over again, per the usual but he took what he could, dabbled in what he can.
Slowly he drifted out of his lover’s sight, finding his way to the table of hors d’oeuvres where he shoveled the tiny sweets integrated in the gold foiled sliders and little pieces of meat covered in caviar and truffles, deciding that he should busy himself with enjoying the food while he could rather than hanging on Alucard’s arm. He’d join him momentarily, deciding to deflate from the poised and straight backed posture, he was still just a boy from the forest deep down, and when he entered events like this it showed.
With a sigh, Blue leaned against the table, picking through the pieces that he’d collected as he prowled it, before popping one of them into his pretty lips, cheeks ballooning as he scanned over the crowed not wanting to lose Alucard for too long.

Previously the winter months only meant that Kiyomi would be cleaning the fireplaces and sweeping the walkways more frequently. So to watch the city transform into a sea of pretty twinkling lights was overwhelming and confusing. The first time a Santa loudly ho ho ho'd at her, she jumped and hid behind Dragan, convinced that the large red spirit had cursed her. Her current obsession is hot chocolate, although she has yet to drink a cup without getting whipped cream on the tip of her nose.
