I wish between now and season 5 of Stranger Things, they will do mini episodes on everything we missed out on
- Steve, Nancy, Robin finding Dustin with Eddie and having to drag him away explaining that Vecna got Max. But also if Eddie cut the sheet in his trailer, did they swim back to Hawkins from the Upside Down?
- Steve, Nancy, Robin and Dustin’s reaction to finding Max
- What happened with Yuri, Dimitri and Murray?
- What happened to Dr Owens?
- Hopper and Joyce finding out everything that happened in Hawkins
…and so much more
I hate thinking this…
BUT the only way Eddie is coming back in season 5 will be as a Vecna puppet to torture Dustin and Steve. Like how he used Billy on Max. Just sayin’.
Vecna’s Curse
‘“ Uhh... Steve.” Dustin froze in his spot, his finger shaking.
“ Mom.” Y/ N called out. 1 second ago she was at a gravesite, and now she was back at her old house, in her own town. “ Mom, is that you?” she called. It couldn’t be her mom, it was impossible. It had to be Vecna, but it sounded so real.
“ Honey... are you home?” her mother called after her.
“ Mom... what are you doing here?” she asked stupidly. This was her mothers’ house obviously.
“ YOU COULDN’T SAVE ME!” her mother shouted. When she turned around her face was covered in bruises and she had a bloody nose. “ Why didn’t you save me?”
“ What do you mean?” Y/N asked.
“ You call yourself a hero, you spend all day protecting people, but you couldn’t save me!” her mothers voice seemed so real, but she was mean, and harsh, and was taller, towering over Y/N by about 2 feet.
“ I tried, I was only a ki-”
“ Why didn’t you help me, you should have saved me!”
“ STOP IT PLEASE YOU DON’T MEAN IT.”
“ I know why you didn’t save me, because you hate me.” she whispered. She was hurrying around the kitchen baking a peach pie. Y/N was allergic to peaches, but her dad would always make her eat them because “ he didn’t want to waste food”.
“ I don’t hate you, mom. I never hated yo-”
“ Oh but you do... hate me. You hate me because I didn’t help you, you hate me because I didn’t protect you-”
“ I don’t hate you.... mommy please stop. Please believe me.”
“ You watched me die because you resented me for not believing you.” Y/n opened her mouth to say something, but the only thing that came out was babbling like she was a child.
She felt like she was a child, she was a child back then, she was just a underweight anemic kid who tried so very hard to save her mother, but it didn’t cut it. Not when she was protecting her father.
A firm knock fell on the front door. She heard footsteps appear behind her, they were big heavy footsteps, work boots, she could recognize that sound anywhere. That dreaded sound.
“ Ohh... daddys home.” her mother chirped.
When she turned around, it wasn’t her dad, it was him. He was tall and had large feet. His skin looked like it was peeling off. Y/N didn’t know what to do, she just knew to run.
She ran towards the door, but it was boarded shut. She could hear Vecna speeking, but the blood was pumping so fast that she didn’t hear a word. She ran up the stairs , and the only door that was open was the run to the bedroom. She hid in her closet, like she did when she little.
She always hid in her closet because her dad was too lazy, fat and drunk to bother looking for her. And due to all the clothes it was almost soundproof so she could pretend that she was somewhere else.
But as soon as she stepped into the closet, she stepped right through the floorboard and fell straight down. Landing on her butt in a crowed emergency room, she quickly scrambled up, and took off to the nearest exit. It was boarded up and she kicked at it.
Alarms went off in the next room over, and it caught her attention. It was Steve, her Steve, the Steve that she swore to protect. He had a tube down his throat and his body was jerking around and thrashing madly. His heart monitor beeping loudly.
“ You can’t protect him.” a voice echoed in her head, and bounced around her skull.
“ STEVE... STEVE.... ARE YOU OKAY, STEVE!” she shouted, tapping at the glass, trying to wake him up. He looked dead.
“ You can’t save him.” the lights started to flicker. She should have ran, but she couldn’t leave him behind.
“ You can’t save Eddie.”
She turned around and there was her brother lying on the floor, bleeding out of his stomach. He was spitting up blood and convulsing.
“ Oh my god, Eddie.” she said running over to him. “ Eddie please be okay.” she pleaded falling to the ground next to him. “ Eddie, come on, get up, we gotta go.”
“ You cant save any of them.” The lights turned off, leaving her in darkness. They flashed back on and Eddie was gone. “ You can’t help any of them.” Vecna touched the back of her hair. She turned around and saw about a dozen hospital beds, all filled with her friends. Max, Steve, El.
“ No... no... no. I can help them. I can save them.” she pleaded, “ I can save them, I can, I can.” she was covered in blood, she could smell the metal on her hands.
“ You won’t be able to save them, like you couldn’t save your mom.” he whispered in her ear.
She scrambled upwards, running to the nearest hospital bed. “ MAX...MAX PLEASE GET UP.”
“ When they die, the blood is gonna be on your hands.” he spoke. “ Look it already is.”
“ NO.” she pleaded falling to her knees. She couldn’t bring herself to run, he was right, she couldn’t save anyone, she was no hero no matter how much she pretended to be one. She wasn’t able to save her mom, and she wouldn’t be able to save the man that she loved. She wasn’t going to be able to save her friends. Everytime that anyone got close to her, they would get hurt. She was better off dead.
“ Y/N... its ti-”
“ If I could.” music reverberated in her head, and bounced around in her skull. She glanced around and saw a portal to her home, the portal where Steve was waiting, he was holding on to her like she was her life line.
“ I’d make a deal with god, and get him to trade our places.”
Steve was waiting for her, just on the other side, she just had to get to him. He was right there, her friends were right there. She scrambled up running off, Vecna grabbed at her but she was able to get away.
“ Be running up that road.”
Y/N eyes popped open, and she fell back to the ground. The blood was pumping in her ears, tears were running down her face and she was breathing so hard her face was turning red.
“ Y/N... Y/N are you okay?” Steve’s voice was the only one that she could make out amongst the voices.
“ I...I-”
Someone was holding her, she wanted to run and hide, but the touch felt warm and comforting, and she for the first time in a while she felt safe. She stopped scrambling around and allowed herself to relax into his arms.
“You’re okay... you’re okay.”
