Silence. Prepare yourselves. *The three of them put on their scary masks, hiding behind the corner of a building in the path of the group. As they all reach the corner, the trio jumps out, waving their arms and screaming* HAAAAHHH!

*Everyone except Sonic, Sage, and Vanilla screams, jumping back away from them. Sage just looks up at Vanilla, confused* ... Is this meant to be frightening?

Did Sage and the Chaotix Family manage to get away on the vacation before it was too late?

*Unfortunately, no. Sage wakes in the morning feeling heavy for the first time in her life. Like she has mass. Like she isn't just a hologram. She sits up, blinking bleary eyes as she hears heavy footsteps outside the kids' room. She climbs out of bed and shuffles to the door, opening it and poking her head out. Vanilla and Vector are standing in the hall, whispering. Both of them are made entirely of metal, but the immobile faces they wear can't hide their worry. Espio is standing in the living room behind them, texting. He looks completely unbothered. Sage steps out of her room, studying them* ..... Your mechanic forms... They are not unsimilar to your organic ones.

Oh! *Vanilla startles at Sage's entrance to the conversation* Oh, Sage- Darling, you didn't change, oh thank goodness.

... I... Didn't..? *She looks down at her hands. They look the same* .... I don't understand.

Here, take a look in the mirror, kiddo. *Vector gestures to the hallway mirror that hangs at twice Sage's height*

*Sage nods and tries to float up to it. All she does is stand on her toes. She grunts and tries again. Nothing* .... What..?

*Vanilla crouches and gently brushes back Sage's bangs, studying her face closely* ... My word... You're organic, but.. But you look like..

What? ... Please.. let me see? *Sage grabs her hand. Vanilla carefully scoops her up and takes her to the mirror. Sage looks into it. Her appearance is the same as before, but.... Her skin is warm. She can touch her hair. She's organic. She's a mobian. But... Rare. Likely the only human mobian other than Eggman left* .... I am... Created in Eggman's image.. even now.

*Vanilla watches her expression, speaking gently* How do you feel, honey...?

So I heard(literally lol) that the chaotix were looking into a mystery about someone who's been imitating others in order to steal precious artifacts. Some kind of "red spectre". Anybody have any idea who it could be?

Oh Sage, wait 'till you see Camobot! Did you know it was sentient? Well it's a cute little fly mobian now! It's age is kind of ambiguous but it might be kind of like having a younger sibling! Doesn't that sound fun and exciting? It's at the bigass house with your other siblings so you should try to find it when you visit! 🤗 You could already taste food somehow before right? Well it still might feel a bit more satisfying to eat now that you're organic so I hope you enjoy that too. 🤗

A younger sibling? I have never experienced this. Every bot that has been built after me has been activated at a higher age than me. I am... Curious. *Vector is giving her a piggyback ride to the bigass house. They stop in front of the door and she hugs his neck, then slides down his back to the ground* Thank you, Vector.

No problem, kid! You got that phone I gave ya?

Good. Call if you need anything, kay? Me and Vanilla's numbers are both in there.

No problem. *He opens the door for her and waits for her to go inside, then shuts it and heads back toward his and Vanilla's cottage*

*Sage looks around at the house, taking it in with her organic sight. She doesn't see analytics anymore, just... Pictures. A single picture. How little organics see all the time, yet they're so capable... It's incredible. She walks around the house, listening to the sounds of conversation and laughter from different rooms. She waves at Sonic and Shadow, who are having a pre-race couple fight. They stop to wave back and Sonic ruffles her hair. Then she goes into the kitchen. Camobot is flying out of the pantry, wiping its mouth on its hands* Who are you?

*Camobot pauses mid-air to stare at her with its big eyes* ....... Camobot is.... Camobot. .... Sage.

Oh. Hello. *She reaches for it, unable to fly*

*Camobot flies down to the ground and stands in front of her. She's short, but Camobot is even shorter. It stares at her*

*Sage stares back for a long moment. She can't hear its thoughts. Organics are severely limited. She grabs its hands* Sibling.

.... Sister. *Its wings buzz and it moves forward to hug her*

*Sage hugs it back, squeezing her eyes shut* ...... You are unburdened by the problems of our family, little one. I will protect you.

Camobot is....... Protected.

Yes. You are.

How is Charmy holding up? Last time I’ve heard, he was unconscious when Vector brought him back to shore. Hopefully he is ok.

*Vector gently places Charmy in his hammock when they get back to Vanilla's cottage. He starts pacing, rubbing the back of his neck as he worries about his music equipment that's probably at the bottom of the sea by now*

*Vanilla tucks Cream and Cheese into bed, kissing Cream's forehead before she goes to check on Charmy. She takes off his helmet to check his head for injuries* Darling? Charmy was asleep when you came from the ship. Is he alright?

Huh? Oh, yeah. Just knocked his head on a beam. He's a tough kid, he'll be fine.

*Vanilla stares at him, going pale. She gently feels Charmy's head through his fur and discovers a little lump on his forehead* ...Vector!! You didn't think to tell me? He's hurt!

*Vector turns to look at her. Oh no. He's angered his wife* Uh- There was a lot goin' on at the time, Van. I was just glad I got him out okay.

But he isn't okay. He probably has a concussion. Poor dear.. *She gently pets Charmy's furry head* Hm... Get me a compress, dear. I need to reduce the swelling.

Uh.. Sure. *He goes and wets a cloth with cold water, bringing it to her* Sorry..

It's alright. You didn't know. *She gently presses the cool cloth to Charmy's head. He sighs in his sleep*
