Grade

I got my grade back on the last writing assignment of the semester. I put my all into what I wrote but I didn't know what I was suppose to write. I stared at a blank page till a few hours before it was due. I ended up turning in three or four paragraphs on a five page paper. I crossed my fingers and hoped I would pass the final.

I was expecting a 30 or 40, some sort of falling grade. He didn't give us a number grade. I read what he wrote about my paper and was surprised. He seemed to like what I did write. He didn't even notice that I hadn't written an introduction paragraph. He did, however, notice the lack of a thesis statement. I was also missing some quotation marks in my citations. When I looked at my grade I was blown away. I got a C-! Unbelievable! Not only that but I passed my final as well.

This put me finishing the class with a C+. I'll admit I really wanted a B but I'm happy to have passed the class. Here's hoping the rest will follow suit. No, I want that ever elusive A.
