love is Very self assured, and has no desire to have a husband or even a boyfriend bcuz she doesn't want to be under a man's thumb in any capacity. (is this because she grew up with very strict parents and saw her father have an affair, which lead to him leaving her mother, who was then a single mother and instilled those values within her? maybe so.)

she's also just a hater, it's why she gets along so well with mr. miserable himself, aka ant

luke also finds her generally kind of annoying, but he respects her dedication to music, and thinks she's a fantastic songwriter

one thing leads to another and they start hooking up because they can acknowledge that they think one another is attractive and they do have crazy chemistry but it is NOT a relationship, they're very adamant that they aren't together and they don't even like each other!
